NEED Financing. I have $4000 cash down payment if someone will work with me!!

Fellas,
Basically, I need someone to be kind enough to let me make payments on their car. I have $4000 cash for a down payment so do not worry about me stealing your car or not making payments. I am looking for a nice 6 speed T/A or Z28 or SS. I have bad credit now because I had cosigned on a loan for someone who ended up foreclosing on the house. I had a 707 credit score back then. Now, I cannot get approved for a pinto if I tried. It is a long story. I am a very very very trustworthy person in my community. I just wanna get another F-body. I sold my 1997 SS, and now I have the itch for another F-body. Let me know if we can work something out guys.
Sincerely,
-Mike

You are kidding, right?

You could be the most trustworthy person on earth, but most people online here probably don't know you from Adam.

If your credit score has taken a nose dive, perhaps you should focus more on improving that, rather than blowing a healthy sum of cash on a 5-10 year old car.

I wish you the best (seriously), but imo someone would be nuts to make an arrangement like that. Even with a good friend or family member, those types of arrangements have a way of going bad, which then screws things up with said friend/family member.

Think about what you are saying: "my credit score is so bad a bank won't give me chump change to buy a pinto, but will you let me take your car for $4k plus a promise to make payments on the balance?"

On the plus side, as others have said, if you really want to get an F-car, there are plenty of decent ones available for $4k or less. Good luck!
