anyone have firestone fuzion zri's?
anyone have firestone fuzion zri's?
I have a stock 95 lt1 m6 and I am considering these tires. I can get a set of 4 mounted and balanced for $425 at firestone. Just wanted to know how you like them. The other tires I am considering are BFG kdw's at discount tire for $660. I won't be driving over 130 mph. Just want a good handling tire on dry or wet roads.
I have checked them out too. they are almost the same time according to firestone. the wide oval is a traction AA and the fuzion zri is a traction A. So its not as sticky, but it is $40 a tire cheaper, and he says I honestly will be happy with the fuzions. He said they have sold a lot of them and they are a great tire for the $$. I never trust saleman. However he is pushing a tire cheaper than the wide oval. So he has my attention. But I hoped to find another Z owner that has tried these. They actually offer a 30 day guarantee. So maybe I should give them a shot. Then if I don't like them go back and have them slap the wide ovals on.
They're both a harder tire than I'll run.
Just go onto tirerack.com and do a comparison of the 2 tires. Read the reviews and tests. Just a good place for info. Also check out discounttiredirect.com for pricing. Gotta love free shipping coupled with low prices. Plus they're a sponsor and TR isn't.....
I wasn't saying the ZRi was a bad tire, but if your next step was the KDW then the Firestone equivalet would have been the Wideoval. The BFG equivalent of the Zri would be the G-force Sport.

www.tirerack.com had a sale on these not long ago...
I'm running a set on my camaro right now, and I have to say I'm very pelased with their performance all around. Not to say they are amazing, but stickiness/price I don't think they can be beat for a daily driver

great! I brought in a ad from tire rack and he matched it. out the door mounted and balanced $410.64. They are on the car today. I can come back in 5000 miles for free rotation and rebalance.I am really happy with how they treated me. I don't have anything against discount tire but this place is less than 1/2 mile from my house.
