Question 1994 Mustang V6-vs- MY 1993 V6 camaro?

There is this guy at my school that has a 1994 V6 Mustang automatic and all stock and he wants to race my 1993 V6 Camaro automatic with flowmaster muffler and k&N air filter if that makes a difference! Who would win? I need to know ASAP!

My bet is on you. Ford auto's blow and the '94 3.8 has like 145 hp. You shouldn't be worried.

I drove a '98 Mustang V6 after I my '95 Camaro got totaled and my Camaro was faster. It was way better off the line, along with handling and breaking. Unless he's done some major mods to it I bet you'll win.

Please keep us updated...I know most people like a good nap after finishing a meal, but this should be more like a snack.

Talking

You should be able to beat him, especially since he has an auto. As someone said, Ford autos suck...plain and simple.

Anything can happen, but I'd expect you to take him.

Good luck, practice your launch.

Stangs changed engines in 99 though, now they have as much horsepower as a 96-02 v6 camaro.

I have a timeslip somewhere of me beating a pre99 v6 stang that ran a 19.2. Also raced one that was running 16.3s all night, at that time I was runing similar times it was fun I woudl win one he would win one, but he was modded, and eventually his tranny or rear end locked up at the track.

don't wuss out, race 3.8L f-bodies, my old roomate hit consitent 16.8s in his 99 camaro 5-speed, jsut because they have a car with mroe hp doesn't mean they can drive.

you should beat him....the AODE tranny he has isnt geared very well, has low line pressure making for softer shifts and his rearend gears are only 2.89 (if my memory serve me correctly). get a good launch and you shuold be fine....but remember street racing is all about the driver and anything can happen, and PLEASE be safe.
