the return of the east coast nats for 2007!!!!!!!!!

we are going to be continuing to use the plan for the car show that has been working well the last few years. 8 primary classes(one camaro and one firebird for each gen) plus the top 3 for best of show voting will get nice big trophies. we will also continue the long list of special awards that we have been giving out, maybe even adding a few again this year. the best thing we are keeping is the spectator judging, no need to impress some picky individuals taste, jsut make your car stand out from the crowd.

the drag racing will be changing a bit from last year. we will have 3 bracket classes (2 foot brake and 1 electronics) and 2 or 3 heads up classes. we will also have test and tune/grudge lanes available for those who don't wish to compete.
teh biggest change in the drag racing that we would liek to announce is the formation of a guaranteed prize fund. we will hand out $100 to the winner of each bracket and $250 to the winner of each heads up class. as we add sponsorship to the event we will add runner up prizes and make the winners purse even bigger. :D

we will have our date locked in with in the next few weeks and finalized class rules will be announced as soon as possible. to keep up with all the discussion and the latest info on the nats keep an eye on the east coast nats forum on the NJFBOA web site at www.NJFBOA.org

we look forward to seeing all of you out at island dragway for the 2007 East Coast F-Body Nationals

we hold the event at island dragway each year, it is in northern new jersey. we haven't got our exact date yet, but we usually go in mid to late august.
we are really stepping things up this year and it will definately be worth the trip. the quality of cars racing and showing keeps getting better each year and with all of the support we are building we expect it to keep getting better and better.
the host club of the nats, the NJFBOA, has about 1200 members behind it along with all of our friends in the FSFBA, LIFBA, Street Lethal, and the newly forming eastern pa club, we definateyl expect to see a ton of cool cars out there.
hope you and your friends will head down. check out www.NJFBOA.org and sign up if you want. we send out e-newsletters a few times a month with all the latest to help keep you up to date.
