I have a few questions. First, I will be installing kooks long tubes on a '94 Trans Am GT and I wanted to know if anyone has had clearance problems. Second, what is the difference between long tube and shorty headers?

Clearance issues for kooks headers?thegift 11-25-2006, 03:52 PM I have a few questions. They are supposed to be some of the best headers that u can get for the lt1. I have heard alot of people use them without any complaint. Long tube headers are headers that extend past where the stock manifolds stop, usually partially under the car. Short tubes stop just about where your stock manifolds end. You might run into clearance issues with bottoming out a set of longtubes if your car is lowered. GnarlyZ28 11-25-2006, 11:05 PM I installed these on my old car (97 Z) and they were a cake walk. There was no clearance problems with any part of the header. I also didn't need to remove the starter, alternator, or jack up the motor. Making sure you have motor mounts that are in good shape would also be cheap insurance that you don't run into clearance issues after they are installed. metallicsniper 01-13-2007, 10:34 PM when did pontiac decide to make a trans am gt?
