number77 11-23-2006, 01:50 PM I really like the modern interior of the Colorado Concept.
Would you guys really just like them to ditch that old ugly interior for something way more modern? Like this maybe?
Personally....I can't beleive GM hasn't picked up on this already...

USA1Camaro 11-23-2006, 09:36 PM I would like to see modern, tasteful, and functional in GM's direction on the interior.
90rocz 11-23-2006, 11:17 PM I like modern, but not the "hardware store" feeling of the pic above...
More low key, inovatively lit, highly functional and more modern info, like; fuel pressure, mixture or EGT...
5thgen69camaro 11-27-2006, 01:53 AM I REALLY hope the interior doesnt end up like that! Id like a mix of 69 interior with C6 interior, tastefully done...
Modern and tasteful yet exciting is the way to go.
Jacoz35thSS 11-27-2006, 04:41 PM Good interior comes from blending art and function. I'd like to see modern and heritage cues. They will mis the boat if there are not contrasting colors-I don't mean two grays make it happen either. Those are too hardcore, and remember, these have to be interchangeable with what is going on for the V6's. Painted interior pieces would help and soft touches. I personally like the stictched look with a contrasting color. Gives a more racy and custom feel without getting price crazy.
POWERFREAK 11-27-2006, 04:42 PM YEAH...I'd love the autometer gauges, roll cage & simpson harnesses.
But seriously, I think they are going to go modern with slight hints of oldschool. Kind of like the concept interior, but I think it'll be toned down a bit by the time it hits the showroom. The one thing I'd like to see more retro is the shifter.
Ron78Z&01SS 11-27-2006, 04:59 PM Nope.
I like the "retro" layout of the Camaro concept interior: Large tach. & speedo in seperate housings, gages in the lower center. Only things I would change is to tone down all the silver/chrome, less futuristic shifter and use some "normal" stereo and climate controls.
As far as your pictures you posted......to each his own I guess, BUT as long as you're asking for opinions.
Flat bottomed steering wheel?
Monster tach on dash?
Metal lined lightening holes in the seats?
Is that a video game joystick for a shifter on an elevated platform?
Sorry, but :barf:
Casull 11-27-2006, 05:14 PM I am not a fan of either the posted picture or the concept interior. I am hoping for a more refined interior and not so extreme. Like someone posted before, give me something that resembles the C6 interior or anything that takes on the cues of any of the current interiors of the GM vehicles. I really like the way they are headed.
EllwynX 11-30-2006, 09:50 PM I still really think if they just get a normal radio, lose the lower guages and change that orange to silver the concepts interior would be great.
Z28Marcus 12-01-2006, 12:55 PM An attractive, businesslike & functional interior like the GTO's would be fine by me. Kids, just say no to a retro style interior.
BitchinCamaro 12-01-2006, 02:26 PM I feel like the inside show follow the outside. Modern fuction set off by classic styling. If it works like a modern interior, and is high quality, why shouldn't it fit with the rest of the styling of the car? I'd hate to open the door and see some boring interior, no matter how nice, that didn't flow with the rest of the car.
blue 79 Z/28 12-01-2006, 07:37 PM one word: MODERN
georgejetson 12-02-2006, 06:14 PM I'll choose "functional" over "styled" every time. I like white lettering on black gauge faces, a tach where I can see it, full secondary gauges, a shifter that falls to hand, supportive seats, and just enough style that my passenger says "hey, this is cool" when she gets in.

I agree on the white on black guages. I _cannot_stand_ white-face guages. No matter what car they're in they look cheap.
AlohaBR 12-03-2006, 10:03 AM Remember they are trying to attract NEW Camaro enthusiasts. As much as I would like to see a little retro, I think modern and tasteful will be the way they go. Who knows? Its just us voicing an opinion, as far as we know the decision has probably already been made.
