I am going to get my mom and dad to buy me the zaino stuff I need. I have a pewter car so its kinda hard to get a real deep shine anything like a black car. I am the kind at school whos car is always cleaner than the day it rolled off the showroom foor. I wash my car every 2 or 3 days and once a week I wax my windows and the car. So this lets you know how anal I am about keeping it clean. Just hoping you guys can tell me what stuff I need. Thanks.

For your car I would get:

Z-1 Polish Lok or ZFX Activator but not both
Z-2 Show Car Polish
Z-6 Gloss Enhancer Spray
Z-7 Show Car Wash

and/or Z-18 Clay Bar unless you already have a clay bar.

Other non-paint related items:

Z-16 Tire Gloss
Z-9 Leather Cleaner Spray
Z-10 Leather conditioner

I'll move this over to the Show and Shine forum...

What Kevin said...

Having a Pewter car myself, I do have to add that I am hard pressed to see the difference in gloss between Z-2 and Z-5 although I know that the Z-2 is suppose to have a bit more shine than the Z-5. Both shine like crazy. The Z-5 though will help hide any swirls you might have. So if you are not wanting to get both, I would get the Z-5 instead of the Z-2.

And the ZFX is well worth the money.

Just my two cents...

So the z-5 polishs almost just as good as the z-2? Will I still be able to put alot of coats to get that real deep shine wiht the z-5 once I dont have any scratches?

The Z-5 and Z-2 have the same durability, the Z-5 is a thicker version of Z-2 and made to fill very fine scratching. Either product will layer for a deep shine.

I was also wondering what zaino stuff I needed...but I have a red car. I want my car to be REALLY bright and be VERY smooth (I want to slip off if I sit on it). What should I buy, the same as Pewter99_Trans?

So I dont even need to get the z-2 since I am buying z-5. Well that will save me alittle money then. :)

Basically if you only want to buy either Z-2 or Z-5 and not get both:

1. Light colored car with few swirl marks, get Z-2

2. Dark colored car, blacks, dark blue, reds, you probably be best off using the Z-5.

I have a purple pearl metallic car, the paint is pretty good for a 93, just want to add some of that deep shine everyone is speaking of. Right now my car kind of look a bit dull, and I really want to bring out this unique color.

Has anyone heard about Zaino's new Flash Cure Accelerator? Has anyone used this stuff? Is it worth the $20? It says you can eliminate the Z-1, feedback please!!

Thanks,
Travis

With the ZFX the Z-1 is no longer needed. I was one of the lucky folks, along with KevinSS and Carl, who got to test out ZFX for the 2 years before it was released. I now use it with every coat of polish I apply. Most Zaino users have switched from the Z-1 to using the ZFX since it was officially released.

So you can get an idea of what Zanio can do on a Pewter finish, here's a couple of pics of my Pewter SS at a recent show with a few coats of Z-5 applied with ZFX a week before.
