275/35-18 would be a good fit for the wheels, and a close match for the height of the 245/45-17 fronts

Since the wheels are staggered, you might seriously consider going with the stock Corvette wheels sizes. 245/45 r17 & 275/40r18.

I've seen the c5 wheels with Camaro sized plus 1 (17) and plus 2 (18) sized tires and they don't look proportional to each other. What I mean is that the rear tires will look a lot thinner around the rim, thereby making the front 17s look a lot thicker around the rim.

The stock corvette staggered 17/18 tire sizes look to be in better proportion with one another. Something to consider. Going with the corvette sizes will make the rears taller though overall, throwing off the speedo, if that matters to you.

Search "tire size calculator" on here. There's one on a miata site that gets used quite a bit.

The magnitude of the speedo/odo error depends on what tires came stock on your car. What was the stock tire on your V6?

Also consider a 285/35-18, which will give you a wider tire and a slightly taller sidewall than the 275/35-18.

my stockers are 235/55/16 and as long as the front sits a little bit lower and has a more agressive stance ill be happy

Just remember... in addition to throwing off the speedometer and odometer (correctable with PCM programming), a tire larger than stock will have the effect of going to a lower numerical rear axle ratio.

The 275/40-18 won't be all that bad if your PCM is calibrated for the 235/55-16's. The speedo will read 2% lower than actual speed (indicate 59mph at a true 60mph), and the gear ratio effect will be similar to swapping a 3.35 gear (if there was such a size) in place of a 3.42.
