My previous wheels are all 18" x 9", now I want all 19". I'm not a ricer or anything. The design is different, so its required to get 1" bigger than my old wheels. The rears will be 19" x 10", but the fronts 19" x 8". I will probabily use 245/35/19 fronts and 295/30/19 rears. I'm sure the rears will be ok. But the fronts?
BTW I talked to Zak, and he said that he can use 19 x 9.5 front and 19 x 10.5 rear, but then he have to build 3 piece wheels :) So a little pricey.. Finally we decided to go with 2 piece wheels and 19" x 8" front and 19" x 10" rear.
My car with my previous 18" x 9".

teke184 11-15-2006, 08:27 AM tire diameter works out to 25.75" front, and 25.97" rear....less than 1% difference...should be fine.
as for how they will look....to each his own...:blah:
gt_biker13 11-15-2006, 09:05 AM The tire sizes you mentioned will fit fine. I like the design of the new wheels but 19" might be a little big for my tastes. Is that a RKsport body kit you have? Any more pictures of it?
chuckys95 11-16-2006, 12:36 PM why not 19x10 all around ?
i was running 19x10 all around.

Your wheels are 2 pieces? I don't know why it can't be 19" x 10" for all wheels, but I'll ask.
shock6906 11-17-2006, 01:11 AM There sure are some good looking wheels on this page. I like the new ones that the OP is getting and the 19x10's on that black car look gorgeous. BTW Chuckys95, you're the guy whose cardomain page I used as a guide for my T/A door panels. Thanks.
JustNO 11-17-2006, 11:29 AM I asked Zak why he can't use 19x10" for front wheels too. He said that 19"x10" would be to wide for the front suspension, the wheels would rub when I turn the wheel.
chuckys95 11-18-2006, 02:18 AM LOL !
mine don't rub in the front one bit (19x10)....and i even have a 2 inch drop.
some wheel manufacturers are afraid to try something a lil more on the edge, so they stick to what the norm is.
call john at www.ccwheel.com and ask him, he will let you know honestly.
also, mine are one complete piece wheels.....each wheel is cut from one solid piece of forged aluminum, not a center with an outer hoop welded to it.

Hey here is the email that I received today :)
I made a mistake you can go with 19x10 on the front. I looked on our fitment database and we've built 19x10's for the front of a car like yours. So let me know if you would like to go with 19x8 or 19x10 for the front.
So I will go with 19" x 10" for all wheels. What do you think about the wheel?

I already looked your pictures man :) I loved your wheels and mostly the rears look very cool!! What is the size of the lip of the rears you know? 3" ?
Oh and how much did you pay for your 2 pieces aeros ?
chuckys95 11-20-2006, 11:46 AM the rears had around a 3 inch lip, they were the 3 piece series and cost me around $3k . they were that cheap cause IFORGED was just starting up and they were offering some pretty good deals.
i doubt that you will be able to find many wheels companies that can get a 3-4 inch lip on the rears and still have them tuck under like they do, IFORGED is one of the very few that do this.
JustNO 11-20-2006, 12:43 PM I talk to Zak from Boze Alloys and he told me the fronts will be 1.5" lip and the rears 3" lip. We dealed around 2500$ for 2 pieces chrome.
I really liked your wheels to and they are very similar right.

yes, very similiar.
Iforged now sells for $1k each....glad i got the deal when i did.
Boze/ZE Forged is a great company also, so you shouldn't have any problems.
post some pics when you get'em !
if i do another set of Iforged or ZE Forged, i will definetly get the same style but with black centers.
do you have your Z over there in Europe?
i heard that american muscle cars over there are kinda rare and are attention getters...lol !

Yes thats true, just a few Camaros and Firebirds, but lots of C6s :)
I don't want to go with black center, because I think it will not look well on a black car.
kandied91z 11-20-2006, 07:55 PM few things i noticed so i'll jump in just to help. wheel companies like boze, iforged, hre, etc. have their databases built off of mostly customer information unless they have old fact sheets.
when spending this amount of money on such a fine upgrade you really should do your own measuring and learn more about what goes into a wheel so that you'll get the exact size and fitment you want.
with that said zak knows what he's doing but it's always good to have two sides so i'd double check your info just for your own sake as 1/4" can make the difference.
i love my 19" boze stingers and i'm just getting ready to order a set of 18" boze's for my daily driver.. good wheels, great customer service.
last thing i noticed is you are not getting chrome rims. you will either get coated or polished. either way they will look 100% better.
;)

First thank you for your reply. Actually thats funny, I found this company after I looked your wheels. My final decision is 4 wheels 19" x 10". I want 2 pieces because 3 pieces is around 4000$, so I hope as Chucky says there will be no problem. with 10" fronts.
BTW, is coated or polished better than chrome? I couldn't get it. I mean is it better or just looking better?
You got lovely car tough.
kandied91z 11-21-2006, 01:28 PM they are two different processes. polished is harder to maintain but if your going through this much trouble i think you'll be fine. just keep them clean.
3 piece is nice because if you have a difficult time shipping things or you have rough roads you can easily replace a barrel on a rim. as i have stated before anything over a 3" lip can bend pretty easy if you have a thin walled tire, especially an 19. that's the main advantage to such wheels as having to ship back to boze from where your at could get expensive to rehoop the wheels.
either way sounds like you made a good choice, can't wait to see them!
JustNO 11-21-2006, 02:01 PM as i have stated before anything over a 3" lip can bend pretty easy if you have a thin walled tire, especially an 19.
really? This will be my first experience with 3" lip wheels. If thats the case I will be worried about this. Thin walled tire like what? 35, 30 ?
Now I can't handle 3 pieces, (1500$ more) so I have to stay with 2 pieces :(
kandied91z 11-21-2006, 04:52 PM there is nothing wrong with this and yes it doesn't matter if you have the reverse mount with a 3" dish that's noticeable or a standard mount with a stepped lip that still gives you at least a 3" dish on the inside. the point is anything lower then a 40 series tire and bent rims are quite common if you happen to not be careful. this is more self explanitory i suppose but you should look into it if you haven't you should at least do it for your own knowledge.
as far as 2 or 3 piece. this won't save you from bending a rim. it's just cheaper to fix when you do. this is why race teams try to use 3 piece wheels and where the whole 3 piece came about. this is also why you see the rivets on a 3 piece wheel. you have a key that allows you to detach the barrel from the rim to easily fix if it becomes bent from hitting a curb, pothole, etc.
good luck.
chuckys95 11-22-2006, 01:22 PM bending a wheel on a pothole or curb etc. has "ALOT" to do with what brand tires you run.
my camaro was a daily driver in the summer and i was running 275/30ZR19 on the front and 285/30ZR20 on the rears....i have ran those sizes in MICHELIN PILOT SPORTS and BRIDGESTONE POLE POSITION S0-3,s all over INDIANA roads and interstates, which are far from being the best roads anywhere.
just make sure you run a good brand name tire with a "REINFORCED" sidewall.
i'd stay away from wanli, hankook, kumho...etc.
go with brands like Michelin, Nitto 555's, Pirelli .....etc.

What were your wheels' wide? (Front and Back)
Oh and would you prefer chrome or polished? If I have a chance to choose, should I go with chrome?
kandied91z 11-22-2006, 02:44 PM most companies do a reinforced sidewall with such a thing. a pothole is a pothold with a 35 series tire and a 3,500lb car.
:(
as far as your choices... you can't get billet wheels chromed and if you can please let me know where as i've tried.

i run a TOYO Proxxes 4 255/35ZR20 on my 01 xtreme blazer and i have hit some nasty holes on the interstate in downtown Indy and had no damage to my wheels whatsoever, and i know for a fact if i was running a Wanli, Hankook or some other cheap a#% brand i would have totalled a wheel or two.
so i know what brands to stay away from, but do what you like.
kandied91z 11-27-2006, 02:46 AM come to michigan for a week and try to compare a states road. reinforced or not, this isn't the point. the point was to be careful as the wider a lip the easier it is to bend and they do bend. wheels we agree on but tires i can not. toyo proxies are the worst tires i've ever owned, i do like their reinforced sidewall but that's it. now i really like the bfg kdw nt 2's with their reinforced sidewall and wicked tread design but it's a limited size tire. unfortunately i had to go with the michelin ps2's and that's only because they had the right tire size. no fancy tread but a reinforced wall. at $400+ a tire they better.
:D
