I need an opinion on 95 camero

Hi i'm not really a car enthusiast but I was hoping someone here could tell me if I was being screwed or not on a camero offered to me.

It's a 1995 6-speed stock camero with 97k miles. the seller is asking 3800. besides the miliage ( which I consider to be low) the vehicle is nearley in mint condition, with no interior or exterioir damge

And if I do buy the car, is there anything I should know about maintenece or look out for?

Thanx,

rp

first it is camaro not camero. that is a pretty good price. could need a clutch soon. check the oil and make sure there is no metal or coolant in the oil. if there is coolant it will kinda look like a choclate milkshake. if the interior/exterior is as good as you say it is it was probably taken care of pretty well. oh and welcome to the board.

Sounds like a good price. Have a mechanic check it over and if he says its good the I'd buy it.

Sounds like a good buy, some of the common problems with the 93-97 f-bodies are the Opti-spark(distributor) and an oil leak from the rear of the intake manifold. As mentioned above, check the things that you would check on any car.

Yeah, me too, but then again, it was becoming increasingly hard to find a black car with t-tops in good condition so I couldn't negotiate prices the way I would have wanted to.

If it's running good that's a pretty good price. I've paid about that much for mine overall after I fixed everything on it. I paid about 1500 flat out to buy it, but have done lots of repairs.
