I also read an article about this in the new Motor Trend and they stated that quality of the new Tundras Interior wasn't up to the quality that is in the new GM trucks and Toyota was scrambling with suppliers to get better quality parts for the interior of the new Tundra.

Tundras interior defiantly don't look as good as either of GMs. I'll give Toyota credit for scrambling for a last minute improvement, I'm sure it still won't be as good, but at least effort is being put into it.
So I guess the Tundra will be a 2008 now. No 2007 model?

Just a simple observation FWIW but from looking at the pictures, I don't see that much "difference" between the standard Tundra and the Standard Chevy interior...maybe the real difference is when comparing "top end" interiors???
I think all three look great. The upscale Silverado is the nicest (IMO). Does Toyota have a higher-end option?
I was under the impression that the upscale Silverado interior was the default, and that you could "downgrade" to the other one if you didn't want a full center console.

You really can't tell material quality from the small internet photos. The Silverado base interior looks a lot more user friendly than the Toyota. Don't forget these are going into trucks that will be worked hard, rarely cleaned, and abused. Layouts need to be practical and useful. Strong materials > pretty materials for a truck users. Many forget that there was a time when you couldn't get wood and leather in a pickup truck.

I'm ok with that, these are work trucks. Our VW had great looking interior, but after a few years, it was scratching and showing a lot of wear. On the flip side, our Saturn is strait rubermaid inside. It doesn't look as good initially, but two year later, it still looks like the day we bought it. Hard plastic is better in that regard and for a work truck, I think its fine.
