Boyd Coddington Fury Wheels

I added these pics to the 4th Gen wheels sticky, but wanted to make a new post to make sure everyone who may be interested saw them. I have yet to see another Camaro with these wheels so they may be a good choice for those who like to be unique.

The wheels are Boyd Fury Wheels and are 18x8 front and 18x10 rear. I do not know the offsets, sorry, but Boyd will know what they should be. Each one of these wheels are custom made from a block of aluminum and they look amazing.

The tires currently on the car are BFG KDW's 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear. The front tires are almost flush and the rears are stretched (too small). The next set will probably be 265's or 275's front and 305's rear. The clearance in the rear is amazing considering the fact that the car is lowered and I think it will take very little work to fit the 305's.

Hope ya'll like them.

Eddie

A little under $600 a piece.

I guess that is not too bad for a high quality forged wheel. Plus they are uniqie, everyone has CCW's or iForged:)

From the Boyd website: "Gotcha Series wheels feature a rolled lip reversed aluminum outer rim and machined 6061 T-6 rotary forged aluminum centers. "

Boyd doesn't even own the wheel business anymore, it's just his name. That being said, the quality and customer service can only get better based on what I've heard in the past

I assume it is still the same facility making the wheels and that they are made the same way? Seams to be a very quality wheel and you see them on Hot Rods all the time.

Nice wheels. I went with 17x10s all the way around. I got those wheels on my TA about 4 years ago. http://firebirdgallery.com/96lot1.htm

May car is at the bottom of the page

Awesome! I finally found someone else with these wheels.

How did the 315's fit in the back and did you have to do any clearancing? The backspacing on these wheels seams spot on.

The back spacing for the rear is the same as a stock 17x9 wheel. For the fronts the back spacing was increased by a 1/4"inch. If you look close the lip on the rear wheels is wider than the fronts. I have had no issues with rubbing tires in the rear and I have the MAC lowering springs which didn't drop the rear a whole lot.

Sounds good, I will definitely be going with some larger tires next time around. Have you seen any other F-body with these wheels or are we the only two!?!

Your car is the second car that I have seen with these wheels. The other car I thnk was a 2002 anniversary Trans Am.
