I would like to know what street tires you recommend. I have a fire bird 350 6 speed. Stock for now. But will be doing le3 heads and beffing the stock rear up. for now. Was looking at the nitto dr's and nt555 r11 any other picks for street that last thanks pat

This should be in "wheels and tires" not "suspension, chassis and brakes."
BUT, I'm really liking my Falken RT-615's. They have been doing very well in the rain too. They're not R compounds but are soft.

if you don't have to deal with much rain...let alone snow..
max performance:
bfg g-force T/A KD (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+T%2FA+KD&partnum=74YR7GFTAKDL&partnum=74YR7GFTAKDR&vehicleSearch=false&index=0&fromCompare1=yes&place=0&leftTire=74YR7GFTAKDL&rightTire=74YR7GFTAKDR)
if wet traction is an issue
goodyear eagle F1 GSD3 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+GS-D3&partnum=74YR7F1GSD3&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=4) for phenominal wet and dry traction

I guess it depends on what you want the tires to do, but i have a set of Kuhmo Ecstas MX. 275/40's all around and i love 'em. Hard to beat the price on them, too!

I can't wait to get a set up front too.
If the Hankook R-S2 Z212 came in a size I could use I'd run them too.

I did hours of research on this question. I have come with 2 answers. I have lt1 and ls1 and have both of these tires.
Kumho MX
Firesteon Wide Oval
I think the end the price is going to even out when you figure it miles. I got over 23k on my MX which is good for a 220 tire and still have some to go. The firestone should get 30k and there a bit higer so in the long run I think it will even out.
These tires are good. I wouldn't get the bottom of the barrel and then if you get the best you paying for the name and 5-8% performance gain to about 35% increase in price.
Since your in FL I think I might the get the wide oval...I know the wet is great in these tires. But the MX are good too...lol
Hope that helps.
