is it possible...and advisable to use 2 spring issolators on the top of the rear springs to reduce the amount of drop that a set of lowering springs provides?

looking for a mild drop on my car...but worried that most springs will give too much.

i'm thinking even some BMR 1" springs may be too much...but i like the spring rates.

Not sure how you would keep 2 springs isolators in place. You might be able to fabricte a ring to attach to a stock isolator to increase the spacing.

You could always cut a piece of plywood to act as a spacer above the isolator.

I've heard that the BMR's sag after a while. One reason I did not get them. I've also HEARD that they ride like crap. -Again, hear-say...

You could prolly fab something up.. Do you have any acess to bulk large pieces of rubber?

From a 1" drop, two spacers would be about an inch, or maybe 3/4"... Try one and see what you think. BTW, THe Eibach's ride nice. But, I think it dropped mine a little more than an inch.

It would need to be a very hard rubber to do the job.

thats why i'm not so keen on them.

i have true duals and i need some clearnce. but i want to reduce fender gap and firm up the ride a bit.

the car gets driven maybe once a week...ride quality isn't a huge issue

Has anyone tried replacing the thick, stock rubber isolator with 1/2" heater hose? How much drop did it provide? Was it durable enough? Any drawbacks?

I did. It gave me about an inch drop in the rear. Worked great.

You might just try stock springs with the isolator block removed.
