1995 Pontiac Trans Am
motor: 5.7L 350CI, LT1 was rebuilt 16k ago, holds awesome oil pressure, runs strong, good pull and compression.
Trans/drivetrain: 6spd manual, new zoom performance clutch has about 1k on it, resurfaced flywheel at that time, clutch grabs great, new u-joints, upgraded 3.73 posi-rear with new bearing and seals. Tranny shifts great into every gear including reverse.
Brakes: Are in good shape, operate smoothly with no vibrations of any kind, E-brake works also.
The body is silver exterior, with a charcoal leather interior. Exterior is perfect, the undercarriage is rust free still painted black, the silver is in good shape with no fading. The Windows are tinted (only one scratch in the tint on the drivers window). The hatch and hood struts work great(so you don’t get hit in the head by either one). Doors latch like brand new, absolutely no sag in the hinges. Drivers seat has the normal f-body bolster wear area(not horrible though see pics). All the power options function as they should, I have a Jensen cd-player installed, but I will include the stock cd-player. I only took the stock one out because it only plays certain copied cd’s and pretty much all my cd’s are copies so I just put an aftermarket in, But all 8 speakers sound great. The window motors work well.
The head light motors were just replaced with brand new ones about three months ago. The stock fog lights still work very well but one has a crack in it, I will include two new ultra-white fog lights that I purchased and haven’t installed yet.
For tires I have Kuhmo esctra 711’s one the rear now with about 70% tread life left, and there is BFG Radial T/A’s on the front with about 50% left, both perform well. I do have an entire extra set of wheels (stock t/a wheels) with two brand new summitomo, and two that are about 60%, that will go with the car.
I just had the car inspected last month for NYS and everything passed. The body of the car has 156k on it, but you would absolutely never know it. I work as a maintenance/mechanic manager at a major limousine company in buffalo, and I take very good care, and a lot of pride in my personal and work vehicles. This is a very respectable car. I love driving it, around town or on the highway. I brought the car up from Richmond with me a few months ago, that was a 550 mile trip and the car did great, especially with the help of power lumbar/bolster seats. The T-Tops are in great shape, no scratches, and the seals on the tops and doors/hatch look like brand new and do not leak at all. The T-Top holder is still in the trunk, which works great compared to the old bag style holders the older cars use to have. You can also lock the tops in the back if you need to. I also installed new shocks all the way around the car just a couple months ago too. Also it has a flowmaster muffler with 2 ½” piping and dual outlet, sounds really nice in my opinion, All welded too, no clamps. I think this should give you the info you need, i have a lot of pictures, they are all attachments. I dont believe anyone would be disappointed in the car, I get nothing but compliments about it when i have it out. pics @ http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2488563
thanks.
