Which tires should I buy? *SLICKS*

I have a 79 T/A with around 400hp, 3,300 weight... I'm about to buy some racing slicks for my car but can't figure out which of these 2 tires is better:

Mickey Thompson - MTT-3053 - L8 Compound

Both are 26.00 x 10.00-15, same price range... my question is which compound would work better for my car? I want to hoooooooooook :bow:

I also have another question... should I use a tube with rim screws with this kind of tires?
