Thickest spacers I can use on rear wheels?

Hey guys, just need a suggestion or two... Currently i'm running 17' Z06 wheels all around, I think they're 56mm offset and I really dislike the way the rear wheels sit in so much. I just want to know what is the thickest spacer I can run on the rear wheels with stock studs would be. Keep in mind my camaro is also lowered. Thanks.

What size tire are you running?

Rather than a spacer, consider using a beefy adapter that bolts to your stock studs, and provides new studs of the correct length:

That is a good idea, i'm just worried that the wheel will touch the quarter panel since this is a lowered car. I'm running 275/45/17's in the back and front. That's why i'm asking how thick of a spacer I can run or else i'd replace the wheels and just run a different offset. So we're back to square 1. How easy are those adapters to instal? Do they just sit in the existing hub and studs?

The adapter slides over the stock studs, it is held one by lug nuts and then your wheel mounts to the adapter just like it did on the stock studs, but now your wheel is moved outward. I guess your could go out and measure how much clearance you have between the outer edge of your wheel and the inner edge of you quarter panel, then you have the maximum size of the spacer you could use without rubbing. You can also get an aftermarket panhard bar to make sure your rear is centered under your car, and you can roll the lips on the quarter panel so it wont cut your tires if they do rub.

I suspect you are running a 275/40-17 tire.

No one can answer your question without knowing the width of the wheels. You need both the width and the offset to determine where the wheel sits with respect to the inner fender and the outside edge of the fender.

They're 9' or 9.5' Z06 replica wheels. But I see your point. I'll buy myself some small spacers for now and just see how it looks. Even with a small spacer it should show a little bit of improvment.

Just wish the back wheels sat out a bit more. I'll try a 1/2 inch spacer and see what happens.
