awesome... love that color on the 5th gen... that solstice looks amazing... i saw a few GTOs in there too

gonna take me a little bit to get used to the flame job on Optimus' vehicle mode.. but the robot mode looks awesome.. i like all the robot modes actually... i like the design direction they are going with this movie, it's good to see some fresh designs incorporated into the universe of Transformers

never heard of him, but did an IMDB search and came u with a designer for the Alien and Species series'

definately agree with you.

I think he looks effin badass full of evilness... definately a big departure from G1 megatron though.. and a lot of TFfans are pretty upset about his design

I have to admit, of all the character designs, Megatron is the only one I absolutely hate. Doesn't even resemble a 'Transformer'.

Really cool to see all of those GM cars. I like the blue GTO, but the yellow one looks like it gets destroyed. Should be interesting to see the level of exposure the Camaro will get. Timing will be early with the film out in July and no car until late O4 '07 or early Q1 '08. I guess we'll just hafta wait.

If you really want to see the influence do a little more searching and check out the guy's artwork. He was an incredible artist years before he worked on Alien & Species.

he didn't really say they were going to "re-do" Megatron.. just that the design which was leaked isn't what is going to be used..

Well, more than the head needs a redo. The whole body needs to look like a Transformer...

While I have no doubt I'm going to love this movie, I doubt I'll accept it as a 'true' Transformers movie.

personally i think the whole blocky classic look of the G1 transformers would look ridiculous in a real world setting...

i'm not sure on the movie designs either.. and i won't be until i see the actual transformation animations

They are probably holding off on a transformer looking Megatron until the next movie. I'm sure the first movies Megatron will reformat himself to something cool.

I don't see how the original look (not really original, it looks like that in every incarnation, even current ones. Only the movie is different.) would look any more 'ridiculous' than the look the movie is going for. It's all taking place in a fantasy 'world' that doesn't really exist. Any rules can apply that the creators wish. As long as they stick to the 'rules' they set for that 'world' nothing is ridiculous when dealing with a fictional world.

I think the original look would give a MUCH better idea that they're vehicles that transform into robots and vice versa. The movie bodies look more like a 'morph' than a 'transformation'.

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that feel transforming vehicles is ridiculous unto itself...
