Then you can fill it in to smooth out the contours. As long as you keep the filler to a minimum, it won't crack. gt_biker13 10-17-2006, 11:07 PM You need to specify what kind of car you have, obvously welding on a 4th gen door isnt going to work. n2ceptor 10-18-2006, 12:20 AM Make/Model???????? 4th gens dont like welding on doors, since they are a plastic compound....:) SUPERSPORTBOY2 10-18-2006, 07:30 AM The 4th gen door is not impossible to shave but very hard.My friend did his doors a few years ago (he has body and paint experiance) and they are starting to become visible. With all the work i did to my car i wanted the shaved look also but i didnt want a wavy door in the future so i passed on it. CamaroRacing12 10-18-2006, 08:31 AM my friend chet did it on his 98 z28....its a sweet look but if u look at it just the right way u can see the marks..... :( CamaroCasanova 10-18-2006, 01:02 PM I wouldn't recommend it- This coming from someone who has had it done multiple times over with different ideas/materials by professional magazine producing shops. You WILL see it eventually no matter what you do-trust me. oneslowz28 10-18-2006, 04:02 PM I wouldn't recommend it- This coming from someone who has had it done multiple times over with different ideas/materials by professional magazine producing shops. Just keep the handles and larn to live with them. v7guy 10-19-2006, 05:23 PM The only solution I know of is to make new door skins, sans handles, pull off the old skins and handles, toss them, glue on the new ones and call it a day. CamaroRacing12 10-19-2006, 10:21 PM i heard u should use a stock LT1 wing and cut pieces off that for covering up the handles | ||
