I completely lost the key for my lugnuts. I bought the lug-nut removal kit, a backwards threaded socket, but it wont fit on the lug nut. They lugs are recessed into the rim, AR Hopsters. Any ideas how to get the mother off.

If you have only 1 per wheel, I've heard you can remove all 4 except the 1 remaining, and reef the wheel and snap the 1 stud that's still hanging on?! A little butcher-like, I know ;).
Really, I don't see how you can do it without ruining the stud (I'm thinking either drilling or torching the stud? ). Perhaps I'm the wrong guy to ask/answer this question, 'cause maybe there's a better way?! :D

Seems the general replies are to hammer on a socket. I am going to try it tomorrow. Ill let you know how it works.

if that dont work you can weld a bolt on there then just use a socket to take it off.
