SES Code 29sandman63 10-17-2006, 04:09 PM Hey, my SES light just came on, an i put the scanner on it, an its Code 29? Does anyone know what that one is? an how i should go of fixing it, thanks. 2001NBMZ28 10-17-2006, 04:43 PM Don't know how to fix it but you can look it up at http://shbox.com/1/Dtcs.htm Injuneer 10-17-2006, 06:51 PM 99% of the time, its due to a blown fuse for the AIR pump. Replace the fuse. If it continues to blow, disconnect the harness connector from the AIR pump, and then put the new fuse in. The SES light will go out. Of course the AIR pump won't work, but there's not much impact except more emissions on a cold start. sandman63 10-17-2006, 06:53 PM Dumb question, but where is the fuse located? 2001NBMZ28 10-17-2006, 09:45 PM No owners manual? Also on Shoebox's site - http://shbox.com/pdf/manuals.html sandman63 10-17-2006, 09:53 PM Yea, after asking that question, i just looked in the owners manual an that told me, tho, i did replace the fuse with the proper one, an well it blew twice already. So how do i go of removing the AIR pump? An once i do, will the SES light always be on an if so, how do i remove it so it wont come back again? Dave89IROC 10-18-2006, 07:23 AM Hey thanks dave, tho if i wanted to physically take it out, hard job or not? worth it? a 3 bolts holding the pump to the bracket, 3 bolts holding the bracket to the engine, some rubber hoses, a metal tube, then you need to cap the holes in the exhaust manifolds worth it if you want the room/clean up the engine bay, otherwise, no sandman63 10-18-2006, 12:21 PM Thanks once again Dave. I plan on doing a header intstall in the future, i just do it then. sandman63 10-18-2006, 03:28 PM Where do i unplug it from? Injuneer 10-18-2006, 06:45 PM There's a harness connector plugged into the side of the AIR pump. You unplug that connector. | ||
