Cobraeater 10-16-2006, 07:35 AM The Camaro looked awesome in person and drew the biggest crowds at the state fair. The Challenger almost had as big a crowd. :p

FS3800 10-16-2006, 08:21 AM ok this picture contradicts itself.. the display sign clearly says Z06, LS7, etc...
but the fuel rail covers say LS2

CLEAN 10-16-2006, 11:15 AM The car shown is indeed a Z06. All I can think of is either someone swiped the covers (quite possible when you consider the kind of antics that go on at these things http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=478530 ) and the guys running the display just used what they had on hand (note the passenger side isn't even stuck on, its just laying on top) Orrrrr they are showing off the GM Accessories painted fuel rail covers. The color appears to be DSOM? In any case, it does look kind of silly. When I saw it, the hood was closed.
USA1Camaro 10-16-2006, 11:22 AM I would say "Great pics."
But....
The ads are annoying along the side and ruin the pics. Find another place to host your photos.
CLEAN 10-16-2006, 11:27 AM You can close the ad window, kind of annoying though, I agree.
94 Camaro Z28 10-16-2006, 11:47 AM nice pictures. that challenger doesnt look too bad.

I was going to say that, yeah you can close it but I was mostly pointing out I hate host that do that crap. Should of pointed that out in the first post.
STEEL 10-16-2006, 01:54 PM nice pictures. that challenger doesnt look too bad.
I agree. It realyl does look like the old charger... now we just need a confederate flag and a jump!

To me it looks nothing like a old Charger save having 4 tires made of rubber. I can see how someone might make the association because of the orange paint.
It does, however, look alot like the original Dodge Challenger.

I guess GM wanted FRCs that matched the car, but they did mess up with the LS2 part since the engine was definetly a LS7. :o

Casull 10-18-2006, 10:13 AM The more and more I look at, I think to myself that interior has got to go. I sure hope GM comes through big on the interior.

Have you seen the car in person yet?
At least to me, the interior looked way better in person than what it did in pictures. I'm still not completely sold on it, but I'm getting close. Needs some tweaking still, I think.

yeah, I saw it at the Chicago auto show last year. I will admit I couldn't get a good look at the interior as you could not get any closer than about 5 or 6 feet from it.
It may turn out to be one of those things that just grows on you; however, I personally think it is too radical. plus those gauges down by the shifter are just not practical.

Is it me, or does the black rubber trim between the front windshield and the rear quarter window look like it's getting chewed up?
What would cause that? I hope that's not a problem a production vehicle would have if that window can be lowered.
Oh, and I see people there could get a LOT closer to the Camaro than you could at the NY Auto Show. I'm jealous. LOL

Yup. I noticed that, too, when I was looking at the car. Didn't pay any attention to it, though, since it was the first time for me to see the car.
It's probably just due to the nature of the car (concept) and therefore not everything lines up properly.

LOL Yeah, that's what I meant.
