A stupid question, but a question none the less...
kind of a poll really, how many of you are shifting at the strip by maintaining WOT and just popping the clutch and shifting versus a very momentary ease off the throttle while clutching and shifting, then back into the throttle. What has worked for you?

My current car is an A-4, but when I race in a manual car I never lift. I have had several transmisions come apart though.

I have to get my tranny fixed before I can attempt any WOT shifts!! ;) (2nd gear synchro is SHOT :dead: ) but in the few times I've raced my car and my Dad's '73 (before we blew the tranny in it! :p) I've never completely mat-shifted  (but I'm not doing a full lift by any means either ;)).

I haven't yet tried powershifting at the drag strip. I want to, but before I do, I want to be in a financial situation where I could afford to fix things if I broke them.
