Ok been fixing this 1999 camaro for 6 or more months now, just little things that were not done correctly. It seems this car has been in a smash either over there in the USA or here in Australia. Anyway looking in the boot area standing at the back there is a section on the left that has a space with that cloth type material just sitting in the left hand side with no support under it so if you put any item in there it falls down the cavity ?. Should ther be some kind of support plate under this material ?? I will take some pictures of this area soon to show my problem :D

To translate for those only familiar with the US version of English :) "boot" is the trunk.
You're saying that there is a portion of the hatch area floor that has no metal under it, just a piece of cloth separating the inside of the car from the outside? Or are you just pointing out that there is no solid steel plate under the rear carpet on the "cubby" immediately behind the driver's side inner fender liner?

Thats usually where the Bose speaker/subwoofer mounts if you have a Bose system. Either your car did not have this option or it was taken out.

That was a quick reply ;)
This car came with the Monsoon Stereo System, I did not think they had a subwoofer ?

Hmmmm looks like I found part of the answer, looks like there was or there is the option of having a CD Stacker in this area which used the bracket on the left (picture with RED arrows ) and the stud on the right to fix CD Stacker to base ! also found the connection plug for Stacker when I was taking the above Photos.
Now where can I get a CD stacker ? :)

You should be able to get one at any stereo/electronics shop - I wouldn't bother with trying to get a factory as they are silly expensive
RF CD Changers are quite reasonable (at least here in Canada, don't know about down undah, but still has to be cheaper than buying an OE piece)
I have a 12 disc changer that is capable of playing MP3's in my truck, I don't think I paid $300 for it when I bought it from the FutureShop
