I finally reached my N/A stock goal at the drag strip so I bought a dry NOS brand nitrous kit for the T/A and have ordered a few more pieces to support the kit, it came with the booster pump, i ordered a fpss, dual purge, various jets, bottle heater , bottle guage.....what else is really needed?
i have the chance to get a mallory 685 box with the retard, window switch, rev limiter fairly cheap , should i grab it up or save the money?
also if i got that box do i still need colder plugs?
oh and does anyone know what limit you can push the injectors to on a 96 lt1 car?
I want to be damn sure i dont blow a rod through the hood, i only want the 10 bolt broken so i have an excuse to upgrade .

Personally, on a dry kit, I would only push the stock injectors on a 100 shot. This is not saying that I haven't had friends that have jetted their kits higher with the stock injectors, but piece of mind is a great thing. You may consider upgrading your injectors to the pintle style like the Ford SVOs as they will be less likely to lock up under the big pressure spike put on them by the dry kit. As for the Mallory 685 box, I would definitely go for it, a window switch and a timing retard are both very essential to your setup. And yes, you should get colder plugs still as the ignition box will not help in that regard. One step colder, non-platinum plugs such as the NGK TR-6s or Autolite 104s are good choices.

wouldnt dream of running bad gas, i went to pump gas last night and they only had 87 and 89 octane and it was the only store within miles.....i didnt want to ...but put 89 in it. The damn car was detonating going up hills terribly and still is.....only 93 or better from now on.

I use 100 octane, but you may be able to get by with 93 and octane booster.
