Kinda nice to see them putting more focus on performance, regardless if you agree with the "SS" placement. Still a great video. Can't wait to see what they will do for the next Camaro!

A while ago I made a post about GM either starting a performance brand, or creating a performance tag(like the srt line). I was told by everyone that it was a horrible idea.
It's good to know GM did this despite our opinions.

Yeah, even though it is not the exact same song, it is similar. I seriously don't think the folks who made the commercial knew this and seriously doubtful that they chose it for the reason you are trying to get out of it. There was no intended association with Green Day.
I couldn't care less, it isn't a music video and I am not going to watch a video like that expecting a political statement. GM is not the US Government, and weren't promoting Amercia....they were only promoting their cars so there IS no political statement. Their statement is not in the instrumental, it is in the product.
It sure is a hell of a lot better than the vast amount of the other videos out there who ALL use Disturbed's "Down the with Sickness" like a broken record. I would prefer Barry Manilow compared to hearing that for the 100th time. When I hear that, I close my browser and I don't click the link again. Then I have little to gripe about. :D

WHAT?!?! THE COBALT!? It's a frickin POS cavalier with a supercharger. That whole video is sacrilege, and to follow it up with a 68-69 Chevelle SS?! That whole video is just a look into how lame GM has become. The ONLY vehicle that deserved to be in that video was the TBSS. Everything else is FWD bull****. The Corvette was nice, but hey... there is not and never should be a Corvette SS. Yeah, the Impala and the MCSS are kinda cool with the new LS4, but they're still front wheel drive!! And the blatant ripoff of American Idiot?! COME ON!

Um, it's a Cobalt with a supercharger. The Cobalt has pretty much nothing in common with the Cavalier, except for market position and approximate size.
Regardless, I agree that the Cobalt is more deserving of the SS badge than the current SS versions of the Malibu, Impala, and Monte Carlo. Impala and MC have lots of power, but I don't think they measure up to the rest of the expectations established by an SS badge.
I also think that the non-supercharged Cobalt SS should be eliminated. The base model should get the 170hp motor!

Yeah they do, what scares me even more is getting beat by a malibu.
Fastest Impala ever hmmmmm??? It may be fast but it is boring to look at. My 2004 has nicer styling.
Is it just me or is GM getting more boring as the years go by in their styling.
Nice to see HP in he line up though and I commend them on that.
I wouldn't want to take that trail blazer any where rougher than what they show, that front valence is pretty darn close to the ground.
And oh yeah who gives a sh!t about the song.
