Robs site has a great write up on bypassing the vatts system. Check out these 2 links. http://shbox.com/1/pass_key.jpg http://shbox.com/1/vats_bypass.jpg what the Vatts (passkeyII) does is it dissables your fuel pump and starter if it does not see the correct resistance from the "chip" on your key. This stops people from hotwiring your car if they try to steal it. the only way to crank the car up with the vatts working is to have your key (the one the vatts module is programed to" in the ignition. I would suggest just following robs write up on bypassing the vatts. Or you can spend the $$ and have it tuned out of the ecm. I would not be suprised if he finds a resistor once he pulls the panels off under the column, I had one like that, i just had to solder the resistor in, and never had any more trouble oneslowz28 10-21-2006, 09:27 PM I would not be suprised if he finds a resistor once he pulls the panels off under the column, I had one like that, i just had to solder the resistor in, and never had any more trouble yes rember to solder it in. anything but soldering it can cause rf noise and / or a diffrent ohm reading thus sending a false signal to the vatts module and throwing the security light and dissableing the car. jamilz28 10-22-2006, 05:36 PM can pcm for less or madz28 tune it out becuase i will need a tune soon anyways Dave89IROC 10-22-2006, 07:29 PM yes it can be tuned out, and you will need to ground 1 wire in the dash 6SpdLT1Z 10-22-2006, 08:19 PM can pcm for less or madz28 tune it out becuase i will need a tune soon anyways yes oneslowz28 10-22-2006, 09:48 PM yes it can be tuned out. | ||
