Well everybody I went to the Miami auto show today and saw the red concept. Very interesting. After seeing it in person I think that they are going to raise the roof height some. While the side mirrors are cool looking I can see them changing that too, maybe a little bigger. Also I don't see the 21 inch rims staying on the production car. Even though they had the thing all roped off the interior look a lot better with the single color concept. Also the dash board looked great...really retro looking and I was really impressed with the lines of the car. Before the show I thought that the back of the car was not really eye appealing but after today I think it looks awesome. The tail lights in pictures do not give it the justice it deserves in person. There was no Challenger there. I kind of wanted to see how it compared in person but they had a kiosk there for the challenger and looked at the specs...400+ hp...the chevy brochure has the camaro with the LS2.....They had a z06 there with the LS7 in it....now if I can get the LS7 in the Camaro I would get my second wish......

oh well thought I would share that with y'all

If you are on the fence about driving to go see it all I can say was it was definately worth it!!!!

Agreed ... right or wrong, the car looks even better in person than it does in pictures :thumb: (I saw it the opening w/e of NAIAS).

You're right too, even the tail-lights look a lot better ... they seem to "make sense" in person? ;)

And the Challenger?? Well, again, it looks like its pictures (obviously) and maybe you could say it's "better" (sorta like the Camaro? ) but I dunno, I didn't fall in love with it the same, because I suddenly felt like I was having a flash-back to ~1970 or something?!?! (actually, I wasn't even born yet, but if I were ............ you know what I mean! :p) But in person you can really see just how HUGE the Challenger is compared to the Camaro, which is a much more reasonable and realistic size.

But yeah, now we wait to see what the REAL car will look like, and hopefully its looks don't have to "grow on us" (things like smaller, production wheels, taller roof line, and goodness-knows-what to expect for an interior?! )

I didn't like the Challenger as much in person, the size made for large 'blank' areas on the car without any thing interesting to draw the eyes. If hadn't painted it such a bright / fancy color, I think it would be considered bland.

the red one you could peek inside from about six feet and it had seats and the dash, steering wheel. the back sets had pretty cool headrests on it.... i really wasn't able to see the full inside but the windows on this concept were NOT blacked out. This red one did not have any reverse lights....

I believe someone said once (perhaps it was fbodfather) that the red car (which is a non-running fiberglass version) doesn't have a complete lower half of the interior. It's meant to be looked at form 6-feet away behind ropes and not crawled all over like the running (silver) concept.

I too saw the red one. I was suprised that the car was much smaller than it appears in pictures. The rear was very mean and pissed off looking as it the overall feel of the car. Very aggressive...very mean.

I like the car much more after having seen with my own eyes.

I agree. I went to the NY Auto Show to see it since it didn't come to the Philly one (Southern NJ here). And loved every angle.

I had only minor concerns since I've seen a few pics (mainly 'official' ones) that I didn't find attractive. But in person it's fantastic.

The car must be seen to truely appreciate all the lines and sexy curves. And IMO, I see a lot more than the obvious 1st gen influence. I was looking for it at E-town at Chevy's set-up they had, but it wasn't out yet. My GF tugged on my shirt, I turned, and it was rolling up slowly! The thing just has a presence about it, especially when rolling, it's just stunning.
