That's some amazing 6 speed driving! Who was the other car? Klypto 10-08-2006, 11:42 PM wow.... AL SS590 M6 10-09-2006, 08:52 AM Sweet driving Tanman Z-RATED94 10-09-2006, 09:47 AM Looks like you have that suspension really tuned in. How do you hook so hard but the car stays so level off the line? myslowcamaro 10-09-2006, 12:06 PM nice run. i though you didnt need a chute til the 7's? Stephen 87 IROC 10-09-2006, 12:54 PM Parachute is manditory at 150 mph but isn't manditory to use. There are 160 mph cars that don't use the chute to slow down. Depends on the car's brakes and how long the shut down area is. Nice launch. No wheelie bars and the front end stays down where it belongs. Although a SuperStock launch looks impressive, it's not required. I pull 1.40 60' times myself and barely pull the wheels. Looks like the other car was a little loose on the top end. Sean94Z 10-09-2006, 04:33 PM Yea, that guy sure did look loose on the top end :) .. damn near switched lanes without moving the steering wheel.. JakeRobb 10-09-2006, 04:39 PM The video isn't misleading -- I saw that run in person, and the car in the right lane was REALLY loose. I was sure he would put it in the wall. CamaroRacing12 10-09-2006, 10:09 PM sickkkk run....i bet theres a stock solid 10 bolt in there.... lol taner 10-09-2006, 10:40 PM thanks guys! 2000GTP 10-10-2006, 02:17 PM Very nice run. taner 10-12-2006, 08:56 PM thanks! yeah a stock ten bolt, lmao!!!! i broke that 5 years ago, ha ha! CamaroRacing12 10-12-2006, 10:48 PM lol.....that be so incedible if it wa son ur stock 10 bolt lol..... twistedwedge 10-17-2006, 04:35 PM Badass man...simply badass. We just cant seem to stay one step ahead of ya bro! Jason went a 9.33 this past saturday...car isnt right though. Gotta get that miss fixed so we can catch back up!;) taner 10-17-2006, 10:41 PM thanks, tracks are pretty much done up here for the year, a couple of weeks left :( i would like to get her out one more time, but i am not sure that is feasible. i even bumped the hp level as well. only one more hurdle now..... mthegodfather 10-17-2006, 11:05 PM Nice runs. LT1TONY 10-19-2006, 02:28 PM Great job Taner!! Too bad I couldn't make it up there this year to run and check you out. Once again congrats on your new personal best. JakeRobb 10-19-2006, 02:57 PM Hey taner, what's your raceweight? Do you still have A/C? :) taner 10-19-2006, 06:34 PM 3530 #'s. thanks Tony! there is always next year. JakeRobb 10-19-2006, 07:00 PM 3530 #'s. thanks Tony! there is always next year. That's pretty impressive, considering that my barely-modded LS1 weighs 3546 with me in it. I saw you at M11 (didn't get a chance to introduce myself), and you're quite a bit bigger than I am. :) taner 10-19-2006, 07:44 PM yeah i am 6'3" and just over 240#'s. maybe next time we can shoot the chit! :D :D 1BADAIR 10-21-2006, 10:43 PM still have a Motown track day the 28 you can come to taner 10-22-2006, 05:56 PM i would like to get out one more time, but how well will the track be prepped? I am actually hoping to get out on the 4th of Nov. it is the final heads up event at Milan. :) but you never know. i am holding off to put the exhaust and SS rim sback on her for some street driving. 1BADAIR 10-22-2006, 07:14 PM I am pretty sure we pay extra for more prep. its usually good on our rental days http://www.motownmuscle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35039 ltwonz 10-23-2006, 11:15 AM Congrats on the new best Taner! The car is leaving the line awsome and you know how to row the gears. LT4POWR 10-30-2006, 11:16 AM good to see you still got the M6, nice run  taner 10-30-2006, 10:38 PM i couldn't get rid of that trans if i tried, i am joined at the hip to it ;) thanks! Rice Killer87 11-06-2006, 10:50 AM Nice ass driving, that sucker hauls ass! BlueZee28 11-06-2006, 12:27 PM That thing hauls man. Sweetness  Tim Tosto, who was on Pinks with his brother, lives in my town. He's got the fastest n/a 6spd LS1. I wanna say it runs 9.60's or 9.70's. Too bad he won't spray it. That thing would be an 8 sec car for sure   JakeRobb 11-06-2006, 12:46 PM Hey Taner, is your T56 internally stock? taner 11-07-2006, 10:31 PM thanks again!! :) no D&D upgraded it for me :) excellent folks to deal with! Tim's car is amazing, he has gone 71 on the motor, it isn't that easy to go 8's. i would assume his car is geared for motor, so you take one step back to go 2 steps forward, and his car is almost as heavy as mine. another hurdle to overcome. i just broke my trans again this past weekend, 3rd gear is in 5 pieces, and they weren't stock components. the gearset should have laughed at what i was putting to it! :( that was my last chance for the year to get that slip, and believe me the car had it in her. i am not one come out and make predictions, i let the numbers speak for themselves, but my 330 time was a fast as i have ever gone, yet i broke almost 4 tenths before the 330 timer. :( there is always next spring :) | ||
