355ci forged lt1 with a p1sc(self contained) blower. melling stock volume blueprinted pump with the white spring(i think white, the gm high pressure one)
Right now i run 7qts of mobile 1 15w50 full synthetic and a mobile 1 filter.
During normal operations, its pegged reguardless of RPM at about 75psi for about 15-30 minutes until the oil temp warms up then it acts normal. 30psi at idle and progressively up to about 75 again @ about 5500 with RPM.
I have been thinking maybe the 15w50 is to thick; taking to long to warm up. I never go over maybe 3k RPM or 25% throttle until the oil is warmed up, so alot of the time it never warms up before i get where im going lol. Never get to go fast.
So now that its cold, im debating whether or not to switch to a 10w30 mobil 1
What do you guys think? with it give me enough pressure when hot? will it provide enough protection at high boost and HP levels?
I used to think high pressure was a must with high power, high boost, but i recentally discovered the chevy duramax's normally run at about 15psi idle and 40-60 psi WOT with 550ft/tq and 30psi! so i guess thats enough.
thanks guys, sorry about the grammatical and spelling errorss
