Autometer oil temp guage..250F enough?

Im getting an autometer OIL TEMP(elec) for my turbo lt4. Will the 100-250f be enough or will the oil get hotter than that?? I need 2 5/8 sport comp..and I wanted to get the 140-300f but i coouldnt find it.

I installed a 2 1/16" 140 - 300F oil temp gauge; hottest I've seen so far is 210F.

I was racing at Willow Springs this week with an air temperature of 80 degrees; I saw oil temps of 240 F.

If it was a road course Ill be ok cuz my car wouldnt make it around a road course..plus..it never really gets hotter than 90 around here
