MeanGreen97Z 09-21-2006, 12:05 PM I need a car to make the commute to work and back and im tired of driving my gas hog 50 miles a day. What you got and how much do you want? AC has to work and its gotta be road worthy for a 50 mile drive every day. :D

MeanGreen97Z 09-21-2006, 10:14 PM Need something much cheaper than that.
NBred94 09-22-2006, 12:12 PM How about something like um....
03 Yamaha R1 Red/Black
j/k, I probably wouldn't want to commute in a city like houston or Dallas on a bike.
I had a '97 Sentra that I commuted in for a while. The damn thing was terrible to drive. When you end up spending a couple of hours a day with only 90hp at your disposal, the frustration factor increases dramatically, so be advised...
caspergotaz28 09-23-2006, 03:11 PM Got a '94 Celica for $3000. I'm about 300 miles from you though.

It's great on gas but i've been down that road before and was involved in a hit and run.... guy left me for dead on 183 at 730 in the morning. I could always drive my wifes car but I wanna get her something new. Probably just going to keep her car and get her a new Tahoe or something....

I TOTALLY believe that. The people that commute in the morning are horrendous drivers. I luckily (well, kinda) have to be at work at 5:45 in the morning so I never deal with the bad traffic! I plan on having a bike here within the next 6 months, and I think the only time I'll ride to work would be on a Sat or Sun. I drive from the White Rock lake area to 30/360 in Arlington. I bought my Maxima for the commute too, the camaro just wasn't cutting it in traffic if there was any.
How much for that 03 R1, since my new one got stolen the day i paid cash for it :(

3K for that w/ the body damage and worn tires? That's insane.

Since the pictures were taken, I've put some newer tires on the front with some tread. KBB private party puts it at close to 3k.

NP bro... while I agree that you have priced your car fair I agree that you are going to have a tough time selling it for 3 grand. I just sold my 2001 Mitsubishi Galant with 100k miles on it for 3 grand and it had NO issues.

If your car looked like the one in the pic then I'd consider paying that much, but it doesn't. Plus it has a lot of mileage on it and it looks like it has good sized dent in the fender.
I'm sure you'll run into someone w/ the money. Until then good luck. :)
Where's the hijacking taking place? You placed your ad on a public message forum and I'm replying with an opinion.
caspergotaz28 10-06-2006, 08:47 AM "Fair" condition means that the vehicle has some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. The tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage.
I think that "stock photo" was taken back in late '93 with a car that just came off the line and with professional photography equipment/lighting. Less than 5% of vehicles fall into the "excellent" category. Sounds more like Fair condition to me.
I've had numerous people (in real life and on-line) either tell me it's priced too high or that I could get more for it. I know what number I want for it, and I agree with you that someone will eventually come along with that amount.
Gonna be selling the 93 nissan maxima soon..

W/out seeing it in person it's difficult to tell, but I'm not all that impressed with the photo you supplied.

and like I said.. good luck.
DWray 10-08-2006, 07:09 PM Still want the car?
:p
MeanGreen97Z 10-08-2006, 11:54 PM Ya I do... seeing if I can sell this motorcycle first.
DWray 10-08-2006, 11:56 PM I may be heading that way on Wednesday (possibly Friday), so I can even deliver it to you at no cost to save you the trip if need be. Well, you'd have to meet me in Euless, where I pick up my new car.
And Ford wants to buy your motorcycle, and he's one of my best friends, so this might work out.
:p
MeanGreen97Z 10-09-2006, 12:02 AM Ya if he comes and looks at it then we should be good to go. I got to find some pics. I have some bad ones right now...
DWray 10-09-2006, 11:14 PM I don't think he'll be able to make it out on Wednesday, he has to work. I can still basically deliver it to you if you want, or do you have to sell your bike first?
The reason I ask is because if you want me to bring it, I can come alone and drive the Trans Am back. Otherwise, I'll come with my girlfriend and we'll be in her car since she can't drive standard and couldn't drive the Saturn home.
:p
MeanGreen97Z 10-10-2006, 01:21 PM I would like to sell the bike first. I have about 4 SERIOUS buyers right now and it's whoever has the money first. Bikes sell fast when they are in good condition and are as strong as this one is. Pulled away from my friends 05 R1 on the highway in 4th gear pretty nicely. It's no slouch and it is all stock.
