What is the absolute high rpm limit of a Y body '94 PCM and exactly what would you enter in the rev limit settings? Dyno chart shows HP holding flat from around 6k-7k where the rev limit is currently set at. I know something about the PCM "resetting" above a certain point. Anyone know the answer?

With the OBDI F-bodies, the PCM stops the fun at 7000. I'd assume that the Y-bodies are the same.

It was my understanding that the Y body had a 7200rpm limit. I remember seeing something about this on the LT1 edit mailing list like six years ago. Can anybody confirm this?

OBDII F-bodies are good to 7200.

Can anybody confirm if it's 7000 or 7200 for OBDI? I keep hearing both.
What happens if you set the rev limiter to higher than whatever the "limit" is? Do the injectors shut down (like the limiter would do) or does something else happen?
Just "run it and see where it stops" is a little easier said than done with the way Datamaster's RPM jumps around up there--it's hard to know exactly how high you've gone. So far I've seen an indicated 7005 RPM but I haven't held the foot down because I don't know what happens at the limit (can it damage anything, etc?).
Anybody got the skinny?
BTW, I don't mean to discount your responses, Dave, I'm just looking for more specifics or a little more confirmation on what contradicts from one poster to the next.
