Too many kits, can't choose!

NOS, Nitrous Express, ZEX... Which one to pick!? Wet, dry or direct port? I read FANTA-Z's thread on Z28.com a few times and still can't decide. I understand that direct port would be the best application for my car but who has the best kit for that? And who sells it? I know Zex uses a box to control fuel and timming and NX mixes the fuel and N2O at the MAF plate but what does NOS use. I have a little over a grand to spend on a setup and I need opinions.

I personally like the TNT Wet Kit first. Then NX.

I'd say do the research and find whats best for you. Dont just get when everyone recommends when maybe thats not the best for your application.

What do you want from the N2O kit? What kind of power levels, times, benefits, traits, etc.

There are a couple vendors on here that offer great kits, im sure one of them will give you some input on what to do. I personally went with a harrisspeedsworks kit and am very happy with it. Id recommend a good wet kit along with the normal safety stuff and a window switch to control when you spray. Colder plugs are also something you will want to look into.

I am happy with the NX kit, which I got a good deal on from one of the supporting vendors of this site. Overall, it is a very good quality kit with easy to follow documentation.

I've been told to stay clear of Zex... but that source was kind of Biased...
NX and TNT have good quality solenoids and hardware..

I'm doin an NX dry when the $$ shows up...

You'll need a tune DEF for a dry spray. For wet, it's recomended but not necisaraly needed. (sp?)

nx uses great solenoids. probably the best in the biz. TNT is good too. zex also makes goos solenoids. ilove the zex timing and fuel control box. nice idea, and the kit comes with an electronic tps sensor for WOT activation. Nx's kit is probably all around the best quality. at least from what i have experienced. NOS doesn't make **** for solenoids. don't buy them. also, look at places like nitrousoutlet.com They have their own basic kit. it's pretty much the same as the nx kit but with their name on it. the solenoids even look the same. their kit is 499 with the basic switches. honestly though, i wouldn't waster my money on the nx maf system. expensive. you can drill and plumb your own hole anywhere behind the maf and get the same results. IMO, with 1000 to spend, i'd get a basic kit (no direct ports or what not) and get the top notch accessories like a bottle heater, control unit, electronic tps switch, etc.

I bought the NX MAF kit with all the goodies, 15lbs bottle, bottle warmer, electric remote gauge and purge kit. I got it for pretty cheap $950. I got a friend that works at my local Speed & truck world. I will be installing it this weekend and update you guys with news on how its running.

I have a NOS 5176 kit and im pleased with it. I make 125 RWHP with it but thats all the power the small noids have in them. Air/Fuel is 11:1 with the .073 jet and .042 tee.

Now for real power I would invest in the tnt wet as well as a bottom if it is stock.

If I had not already purchased a kit, I would have seriously considered the Harrision speedworks kits. Great looking proudct, a board sponsor, and all I hear is great things about their produts:)

Bad news! I finally filled the bottle friday. Took the car to the local race spot. I did 2 runs on a 100 shot and shattered my clutch on the third. After the first run my 58mm BBK TB started to stick. My car would not drop below 2500RPM's. On a good note, it really puts you in your seat if you purge. Kinda sucks if you don't purge. The NX MAF kit is great as long as you have all the complimentary parts. Especially a clutch!
