anyone get Hot Rod with Bunblebee on the cover?

Havnt gotten it yet and just wondering if its worth picking up??

and for those who dont know Bumblebee is the new Camaro in the TF movie..

What? You know it's on the cover but you're too cheap to pick it up? It's a good issue. Has some neat construction pics of the car and some closeups.

yup...I am cheap...I would rather spend my money elsewhere..I get more info from this site and others like this...As far as magazines go car mags are getting to be as bad as most women magazines full of WAYYY to many adds...thats why I asked..I only pick up a magazine if its worth it...and 9 out of 10 times magazines are not worth picking up anymore..

saw the cover when someone emailed me telling me about it today..thats why I asked..I didnt see it in the store...

I get the mags for the car features, not the late mostly made up news thats in them.

Did anyone else notice that it doesn't have the LED headlights? Not too sure if I like the lights they have on it...they look a little too big for the space. Other than that, the car looks amazing.

It's a pretty interesting read and worth picking up if you plan to acquire "collectible" type information to go along with your Fifth Gen.

I would also suggest picking up the latest Super Chevy as well.

I realize it is a movie prop and may not accurately represent the production vehicle, but there seems to be alot of discussion as to if the LED lights or something similar will make production and if they don't, what are the lights going to look like? Wow , I realize their just make shift headlights for the movie car .....but man . Those normal style headlights zap away ALOT of attitude the orginal 2 concept cars had .

I think they are different because those "headlights" are Bumblebees "eyes" so they want them to be slightly different, more like actual eyes than normal headlights. JMHO of course.

exactly, the thing is these Transformers will not change like the older versions. with simple blocky transformations its going to be a radical split and combine.

very true. especially hot rod. it seems every issue i see they have 2 or 3 cars that some millionare bought or built. all they feature anymore are megabuck cars. last month that had the top 32 project cars in america and i think they were all probally six figure cars. I guess there trying to get the barrett jackson crowd. its sad, it used to be a good magazine.

i'm wondering if it should replace the hotrod issue thats in my frame now. I have the road&track, motor trend, and hot rod issues in one big frame that fetured the camaro concept on the cover after its debut. It may replace the current hotrod because that one also had the challenger on it

The Cover photo is hot. I love that color. It would be great for GM to offer that.

I am hoping they have that color in the lineup.. when Isaw the car the first time ..heck even before it I wanted a car that color now I can and it will be a Camaro.. :D

That car looks so good, especially from the rear three quarter.

I picked up the Hot Rod and I actually like the bubblebee Camaro with the regular headlights. I think it looks more production like and not bad IMO.

Is it just me, or is the orange color of the car much darker than the pics that were seen on-line (which made it seem more like a deep yellow)? And why would you have a "Bumblebee" that is Orange anyway?

Okay I love the new Camaro & all but couldn't it have been a different Transformer? Why Bumblebee? He was always the small, baby Transformer. I am aware that Volkswagon will not let them use the Beetle's model because of their hippie image & all (being involved in "toy wars" as they put it) but him being a big, bad Camaro doesn't make sense at all. Make it a new Transformer all together.

Basically ( and would like to have some credibility on this since there are the ones that are in the know) GM had rights to the autobots in the movie and GM had Bay pick out what he wanted. They let him into GM's skunkworks and he could of used any GM concept or prototype in the movie. He saw the Camaro and said that is Bumblebee. and GM happily agreed without a second thought.
and like you said make it a new TF all together..actually it is..dont think of this as any terms of what was the cartoons or the comic. Its not. This is a TF with farmiliar names and somewhat faces but for the most part its adpated to make the story work. and I remember reading where in a world of fighting robots any team they send is not going to have a small weak robot. especially when you see the size of the Decepticons..

in alot of the shots there are alot of yellow and red GTO's so who knows about them???
Iron Hide is a big black GMC 3500 pickup..
Ratchet is a H2 medical truck
and Prime is Prime.

I don't like the way they made the headlights on the movie car, I liked the original Camaros better. I love Hot Rods take on how an RS version would look, and would probably get one, depending on what other options it could be combined with Z/28, SS etc... A Z/28 R/S probably would be for me, also depending on engines, which are yet to be determined, we shall see what's offered up! :)
