One of my headlights isnt coming up

So what all do I need to check to see what the problem is. I cant even lift it up when the lights are on

Have you tried the manual way by turning the device that will raise and lower the lights? Sometimes I have to manually raise one on my car, and that seems to fix it for awhile.

Raise the hood and locate the headlight motors. There is one beside each headlight bucket. They probably have a rubber cap on them. Remove the rubber cap and see if you can turn the motor by hand to raise the headlight.

does it make a wierd sound or just the head light grear is not functioning?

Had the same problem. I changed the gear and it did not work. the problem was from the Headlight module located just above (the driver fender) or litle bit behind the air filter box. On way to make sure that the Headlight module is the problem, try to connect the left headlight electrical connection to the right and viceversa. If the driver side is working and the other one is not then definitly the problem come from the Headlight module. In my case, I had a bad IC connection on the board of the headlight module.
