skorpion317 09-14-2006, 02:20 PM what will the Z/28 badge look like?
In keeping with the design theme of the 5th gen, I'd say it should be like the 1st gen badge, but with an edgier, modern look to it. Not a direct copy, but a definite link to the past - just like the 5th gen :)
jg95z28 09-14-2006, 03:26 PM A bigger question is "slash or no slash"? :D
stars1010 09-14-2006, 03:38 PM A bigger question is "slash or no slash"? :D
I say to Slash!
skorpion317 09-14-2006, 03:59 PM as evidenced by the way I typed it, slash it is.
I would much rather see something like I described, as opposed to a badge like the Z06 badge.
BitchinCamaro 09-14-2006, 04:01 PM Yes! Bring back the slash!
STOCK1SC 09-14-2006, 04:08 PM 1st Gen style WITH the slash, maybe a modern intepretation but definitely with the slash.
JoeliusZ28 09-14-2006, 04:17 PM the slash is the ****!

SCNGENNFTHGEN 09-15-2006, 12:35 AM I say slash it too, but I agree, give it a sharper look somehow. The shear mention of / does invoke lots of emotion, just goes to show we are serious about one thing..........Camaros! Oh, and solos!:p
5thgen69camaro 09-15-2006, 01:25 AM Thank God, I love Guns and Roses. Slash please. Just looks better on the emblem...
Z/28lover 09-15-2006, 01:12 PM SLASH
If they dont put a slash, i will calling year one to order my 1st gen emblem the day i get the car.
SLASH THAT BASTARD!
OctaneZ28 09-17-2006, 09:06 PM I agree. With slash = gooder.
Methinks I should get to photoshopping. :D

EllwynX 09-19-2006, 08:29 AM Though I'm obviously in the minority here, I much prefer the modern look of a flush Z28.

As do I. :D
What about the dash? As in Z-28. ;)
Diognes56 09-20-2006, 01:21 PM Modern Heritage styling, just like the car .......................... with a slash :) .

number77 09-20-2006, 01:24 PM Wouldn't it be crazy if internal documents surfaced that showed GM took the slash out of Z/28 to save 1.1¢ per car?

I'd like to know how much they saved on those lousy window motors! Grrr.

Or how much they made when you bought replacements?
EllwynX 09-20-2006, 03:22 PM Or how much they made when you bought replacements?
I had 4 replaced in my '02 (both driver and passenger the first summer I had it, then 1 each summer for the next 2 summers.) But it was under warranty, so they made nothing off me. lol

Do you know something here??
Northstar 09-20-2006, 08:23 PM I say either with a slash, or replace the "06" with "28" on the Z06 badge:

I did a Z28 emblem based on that a while ago:

I don't know why, but I kinda don't like it.

Yeah, that's nice. Anything without any divider between the Z and 28 is nice looking.
When I see 'Z/28' it makes me thing 'zee slash twenty eight'. Keep it clean, no slash.
skibbez93z 09-20-2006, 09:27 PM slash it..... not a fan of the z06 emblem for the camaro, something is wrong with the "2"

...I'm with the him ...
jg95z28 09-21-2006, 11:52 AM I'm not! :p The slash died after 1969. The early 2nd gens had a dash and by the end of the second gen run, it was gone as well.
Z28 is so much cleaner and modern looking. Besides, the name comes from the original option code... RPO-Z28. Neither slash, nor dash should even exist. ;)
OctaneZ28 09-21-2006, 02:26 PM I disagree about copying the 1969 emblem.
But I do think a slash should be there.

I agree wholeheartedly.
97 RS 09-21-2006, 10:11 PM i just wanted to stir the pot on this subject and say that this is all really an issue of weather or not the concept camaro is retro or not. because as jg95z28 pointed out the slash died with the 69 so.... if the concept is retro slash it but if the concept is a modern bla bla bla bla whatever version of the camaro's heritage.... it should stick with the heritage of the car and leave the slash back in 69 where it ended the first time
azfan 09-24-2006, 12:43 PM How about a new design? We had the slash in the 60's, the multi colored version in the 70's and 80's, and the plain black of the 90's. A new version would be cool. It's just a badge, let it be a statement of today.

Although I am a fan of the slash, I agree with this a lot more. I want something NEW, even if its just a badge! :D
