NItrous Works

Hey guys,

I got my nitrous works kit from jegs and it looked like the kit was opened. I'm not sure if all the parts are there. I think they are.

There are no quality instructions in this kit. Do I have to remove the s.valve out of my fuel rail to tap into it for the nitrous solenoid? The line the kit comes with looks like it would screw on, but no fuel would flow unless that valve was removed, or there was an adapter to open the valve somehow (that must be a restriction). What do I do?

Also, anyone know if this plate kit would work with a 58mm TB?

Thanks,

Igor.

Have you done this? I know for sure the openings are only 52mm on those because I have a Nitrous works plate. I was getting ready to sell it and buy one of Nitro Dave's plates since I have a 58mm tb on my new motor, but if mine can be enlarged safely to 58mm then I can keep it and save some $$$ :D How can this be done without busting out a Dremel, and has it been done before?

I bought my kit used and the plate was enlarged by the guy who sold it to me. Im not sure how exactly he did it, but it looks fairly cleanly done. I would imagine that you remove the nuts holding the spray bars to the plate and then carefully remove them first. Then you would mark off how much material you need to remove and then take your tool of choice to grind it away. I think some sort of table top router with a sanding drum would be a bit more precise than a dremel.

Hmmm... I might take a closer look at it when I get home. My only concern would be on the side the spray bars end (drivers side if its installed) if the holes are drilled deep enough to still support that end or not.

I had that kit and ran it for 2 years with no noid problems at all.As far as porting the plate its a breeze,I removed the spray bars then used a 58mm gasket to mark where to cut.The spray bars slide right out after you remove the little bolts.
