Our imaginary package above comes with CD player, Sat Nav, and dual zone climate. GM made one wiring harness, one interior piece to hold them all.

If you get to pick and choose they have to design, build and store SEVEN of everything. One for if you just want radio, just want nav, just want climate.

One for if you want radio and climate but not nav, one for if you want radio and nav but not cimate... etc

You would wind up with a $1000 CD player, $2000 Nav and $2000 Climate option.

The great majority of people, which includes most of the people who are bitching about being forced into options will opt for the package, the obviously better value. Of course now the package cost $5000. :p

You're right, that is your OPINION and it is clearly not based on any facts. The timeline is the best they can do. Cars don't get engineered, tested, tooled up and produced overnight. Why would they delay it if they didn't have to?

Check production numbers on 4th gen 1LE's and explain the "stripper" market to me again. I had mine at the reunion in Bowling Green, and was actually told by someone that it was the first crank window 4th gen they'd seen. :eek:
