I kno one of the most inportant part of the race is the first 60ft so I wanna kno how much of my ET can I shave off if can go 1.6 60ft. My best was a 1.8 on street tire. Soon I'm getting some dr's, adj t/a, boxed lca's and some QA1's.
To date my best run is
60' .... 1.805
330 ... 5.151
1/8 ... 7.922
MPH .. 86.77
1000 . 10.391
1/4 ... 12.462
MPH .. 110.79
So how much faster will my ET be if I go 1.6 60ft?

At a minimum, your 1/4 mile ET should be in the 12.20s if you can shave 2 tenths off your 60ft times!

I've heard it mentioned as a bench racer's quick-and-dirty calculation that for every tenth you improve at the short end, you often see 1.5 tenths at the big end of the track. This is obviously not a certainty, but might apply to your situation.
I'd say you would probably run in the 12.1's easily with a 1.60 60ft.

.32 faster. ;) Really tho it's hard to say. As mentioned before, about .15 quicker in the quarter for avery .10 you cut off your 60ft. At least thats a close assumption for cars about as quick as ours.

I've typically heard as a quick "rule of thumb" 1 tenth in the 60' is worth 2 tenths 1/4 mile?
But .15 is probably closer to "realistic".
Actually, if you look at the times in my sig, I ran 13.434 w/ 2.152 60', then 13.021 w/1.942 60' time. If you work it out, that's 1.967 tenths improvement in the 1/4 for each tenth 60' ;). That's almost 2:1!! :D

You pulled a 1.8 60' on street tires? That's amazing.
I want details. What car? What tires (make, model, size)? Race weight? Air temp? Track elevation? A4 or M6? What converter/clutch are you using? What's your launch technique?
A lot of questions, I know. But that's a really phenomenal number for street tires.

It depends on why the 60' increased. If it was just due to better traction, the gain will close to 1:1. But if the gain is due to more power, there may be a much larger improvement.
