Possible to run both a wet and dry shot?

I remember reading an article about an LS1 transam that had both a wet and dry kit installed, the wet kit was jetted around a 200 shot, and the dry kit at a 100 shot. I currently have a NX dual nozzle wet kit which I plan to jet at a 200 shot once I have my motor rebuilt. I would like to go over a 200 shot though, but I don't want to jet my nozzle kit above a 200 shot because of fear of poor distribution. Also, I have invested too much time and money into this kit to consider getting rid of it and going to a direct port setup. So my question is, I found someone who may sell me their NOS dry kit for a very good price, could I run this kit alongside my wet kit and jet it at a 50-75 shot and not have any distribution problems or any problems for that matter? As for some other info. on my car, I do have a FPSS, NGK TR-6 plugs, a Mallory 685 box with timing retard and window switch, and a Racetronix 255lph pump waiting to be dropped in.

It would be hard to set up if you use the NOS LT1 kit (05176). That kit raises the fuel pressure to get the extra fuel needed, which could make tuning the wet kit difficult. You could set up the wet kit as a second stage and tune it for the higher pressure or run a fuel pressure regulator for the wet kit to keep the pressure consistent.

So is there a dry kit that doesn't provide additional fuel by raising the fuel pressure?

People use LS1 style kits that just spray through the MAF but I don't have anypersonal experience with that to give an answser as to how well it works

Thanks for the info., guess I'll head over to ls1tech and ask some questions.

I have done a dry shot through the M/A. It was a small shot around 40-60. It worked well, never had any problems the five or so times I did. I then switched to the wet kit for more power. Always wondered about spraying a second stage through the M/A. I read one time, not sure it is true but seems logically. Our pcm's are slow in processing M/A reading and can lean out. This would be more of an issue when spraying a large shot I am sure. The LSX have a faster pcm hence why they run that style of dry shot.

I would say no, and do a big wet kit and progressive or do a dual wet kit. But if you don't care try it and let us know if it held together. LMAO.

Yeah, I digged up some old posts mentioning the LSxs faster PCM speeds and why a dry shot before the MAF is not a good idea on the LT1. Needless to say I scrapped the idea and will just stick a 200 wet shot I guess.
