I have heard it will do wonders for a black car. So any info is appreciated!

Autozone has them. Clay Magic works good. Use plenty of lube, as you don't want much friction.

Meguiars makes a kit with 2 clay bars, detail spray as lubrication, a microfiber towel to wipe it dry and a box to keep your clay in, it also comes with pretty good instructions.

As for applying it. I work the clay a little, spray the lube to the paint, and work in criss-cross motions, checking the clay often for contamination. Once the clay gets black specs in it, you fold it over and work the clay a little until you get a clean section. Continue this until you finish the car. The paint should feel smoother, like glass when you remove the contamination.

Like LT1 said, make sure to work the clay and check it for contaminents it collects off the paint often. Also, dont work in circular motions just use back and forth.

Like said...^^.... I bought mine at Autozone. Mother's clay ber. COmes w/ the polishing/lube solution.

Wash and dry the car of all contaminants, start on a section, spray on polishing compound, rub claybar w/ mild pressure in horizontal lines or pattern. No need to swirl it. I go over it again the opposite way, just to be sure. Buff polishing compound till shine returns. Respray when it starts to stick or rub hard. If you hear small squeaking, check the bar and pick off any contaminants that you can.

Do the whole car then...I used the mother's Carnuba cleaner wax, that was supplied, which is what I use anyway.... Wax the car then Polish w/ the comound. I don't think you HAVE to polish it, but it can only get nicer.......Stand back and drule!!
