David JB'z 94 09-08-2006, 03:34 PM well, they are apparently "behind" in the tranny department now that some have 7 speeds, why not do an 8 I guess? mastrdrver 09-08-2006, 05:27 PM If the 8spds end up in Caddys and Buicks, and maybe some Saturns, then it allows all of the other cars from Chevy, GMC, and Pontiac to use the 6spds. It also separates Caddy and Buick farther apart from the other brands and makes them seem more luxurious now that their parts are not used on cheaper models.
