It looks like your butt would slide forward and if your knees didnt get crushed then the buckle would crush your throat.

^^^Yeah, that really doesn't look like it would work very well :death: I wouldn't want those things in my car

5 point is my personal favorite, however; 4 point and 5 point restraints are illegal as the law stands at this time.

Anyone here been ticketed for wearing 5 point belts on the street? I have...
Nice Sparco setup with proper angles to the rollcage. It is what it is...

I got a seatbelt ticket in my 5pt. The cop actually told me..."You should think more about your own saftey while on Louisiana's highways"....to a guy in a cage and a 5pt.

Maybe the stupidest person I have ever encountered.

Either way, I dont want no stinking 4pt in my daily driver.

"Inflatable" seatbelts?

What does Ford think they are, the 'Titanic' or something....

I think it's nuts that 4/5 pt setups are not legal on the street. They are very safe.

I'm glad Ford is taking initiative here. I look forward to when 4-pt harnesses become the norm.

I have always contended that a 5 point (4 point without the submarine belt) would be much more effective than a 3 point. The illegality of a 5 point seems dumb to me. I like the cop story above.

I guess they'll have to change the regulation that requires that a seat belt can be put on using only one hand.

Without a helmet, you may have been less safe than in a normal vehicle.
