Flange bracket rusted off

I was wondering why my camaro was so loud, turns out the intermediate pipe flange to the back of the cat has rusted off. Do they make a replacement fixer upper doo-hicky to take care of that problem or am i looking at buying a whole new cat back system? Me no want a catback system cause the car isnt, I dont think, sticking around for long.

It it were me and I was planning on getting rid of the car soon, I would just hack the catback off. You would essentially be running an "exhaust cutout". It'll probably sound pretty good.

Re: Flange bracket rusted off

If just the flange busted, an exhaust shop could fix that pretty easily and cheaply.

Re: Flange bracket rusted off

Just got back from Midas and they want $717 to replace the leaky cat/intermediate pipe flange. Hmmm, thats sounds a little cheap, dont you think??

I cant find one all by itself that I could cut and weld back on. Does anyone know where I can get just the flange bracket doo-hicky? Remember, it has to be beveled like the old one so I do this correct the first time. I have searched summit and they have "flange" but no descriptions of them.
