For any of you that have installed a FAST intake, I have a few questions for you.
I had to do the LS6 style coolant pipe mod w/ this intake. When I set the new intake down on the motor, the coolant pipe in the front is in the way, and hits the intake. WHY IN THE H*** is that?
I have never heard of anyone else having this problem.
I have bent the hose a little to make it fit somewhat better, but it still bothers me knowing this pipe and intake are not fitting up the way they should.
Ok, next. The intake is kinda wobbly on the block, like it isn't fitting tightly around the seals. NO I have not put in the bolts or hooked things back up, I just slid it in there for fitment purposes. Is it the knock sensor wires causing this much trouble? Will that go away when I tighten it down?
I would assume this would happen with the LS6 intake as well, since it is flat on the bottom. Do I need to take the wire covers off the wires? I didn't want to mess w/ that. Although I have removed all the tape they had on them, and the green clips. I found the info at ls1howto.com btw.
I hope some can offer some information about these fitment issues.
Also, w/ the throttle body hooked up to the intake, FAST throttle body, when I open the throttle all the way, it actually hits the side of the intake, on the outside.
Honestly, I expected MUCH MORE from FAST. I hope the performance gains make up for the lack of workmanship
