Some surprises:
* So far this year, Jaguar is the the worse selling major brand. It's a shame when the single model "Mini" outsells the entire Jaguar line by something like 75%.

* Nissan isn't a major threat to the big 3. Even Chrysler outsells them 2 to 1.

* Anyone thinking that Mitsubishi's market share is an issue, probally doesn't know it's at just 0.7%.

Isuzu is only sells trucks.

More accurately, Isuzu is a marketing organization that sells only Trailblazers and Colorados with different grilles and 7/75 warranties. Isuzu is about as independent as GMC.

At least Jag has their own unique lineup and for the most part, powertrains.

Not so hot news in regards to Nissan.

http://money.cnn.com/2006/09/01/news/companies/autosales/index.htm

Meanwhile, Nissan (Charts) also reported lower U.S. sales. The company, which is in talks with GM about possibly joining its alliance with Renault, saw sales fall 6.3 percent last month, led by a 26 percent drop at its luxury Infinity unit

I wonder why Saab is seperated from the GM numbers, looks like it would be joined with all the other divisions.
