Im going to be upgrading my suspension soon and was wondering what I should do. I dont want to spend too much money and i was thinking...
LCAs, Relocation brackets, Panhard Rod, and Strut Tower Brace are in my price range. If i was going to pick two which ones should they be. And if theres naything else i dont have on here i should look at what is it?

First I would ask you if you plan on drag racing or road racing, or just having a good street car.

Then I would tell you to talk to Sam Strano. The guy knows so much about this stuff it will blow your mind.

From what I gathered talking to him the 2 most important upgrades are shocks then swaybars. Springs and panhard bar are 3rd and 4th. I was talking to him about street handling though so drag racing is probably different.

The difference between weld in and bolt in is just that. One set is welded in the other is bolted. Most people seem to prefer the weld in.

will the bolt in stretch the holes over time like subframe connectors have been known to do?

If your car is mainly for straightline purposes, I would do the LCAs and relo. brackets. The weld-ins are stronger then the bolt-ins, from what I have gathered, those that have bought the bolt-in brackets end up having a shop weld them as well.

how much does it cost to weld them in

actually the way the brackets bolt in, there is very minimal chance that it will "elongate" the holes. alot of the stress is releived by the "ear" that mount behind the lower shock bolt.

bolt in SFC are a different story.

i had a budy weld mine in for $50 or so. if you do the prep work yourself...removing the undercoating and the powder coating...then it will take alot less effort.

i havn't seen an answer to the "drag car or street car" question....it makes a big difference

the STB is a good deal for about 50 bucks...make your own LCA and save a hundred bucks...make your own PHR the same way you made LCAs...buy some subframes firstly.

start with subframes, then good shocks, make your own lca/phr, buy a torque arm, then get the stb.

I bought BMR's and the only problem I have w/ them is my stock LCA BOLT will not fit in my BMR brackets. I just bolted them back in the same location, but left the brackets in place. There is enough bolting them together to be strong as it is... But the weld is allways stronger.
