is this strictly F-bodies Ron?
3. All vehicles must park in parking lots.
8. If you find a "mustang" using your "permitted facility", contact a County Park Ranger ...
Sure, Ryan, I'll extend a handshake to our horsey friends, but no souped up front wheel drive lawnmowers with a top fuel dragster spoiler wing, okay?

steelerfan 09-13-2006, 04:07 PM Ron,how many people do you have coming so far ? I'm thinking the wife & I might be able to go but it depends on when my Dad is in town. He's stopping by for a couple days on his way from Maine to Fla but I'm not sure which weekend it is yet.I should know for sure in about a week.
97TransAm 09-14-2006, 09:11 AM Ron,how many people do you have coming so far ?
While it's a bit early to tell yet. Plus the weather will be a factor. Present indications are showing upwards of thirty some vehicles.
nodnarb481 09-14-2006, 10:31 AM Ill be there.. Anything you want me to bring? My friends in the market for an F-body righht now so he will either have one to bring or at least it will be a good welcoming in for when he gets one. Im pretty sure hell have one by then tho
myslowcamaro 09-14-2006, 11:11 AM ill try to be there. btw ron, ill be giving you a call soon
Bow94z 09-14-2006, 11:30 AM should be a good turnout
montess87 09-22-2006, 04:52 PM You guys can count me in. I'll see if i can get a few other f-bodys to come as well
myslowcamaro 09-22-2006, 06:12 PM i remembered i will not be there. brothers wedding is on the 14th, so ill be coming back from ny that day
Projectz28 09-23-2006, 10:31 AM I'm up in the air as of right now... I totally forgot about a fishing trip I was going on with my father-in-law. I was supposed to go on a trip that weekend to NY fishing for salmon.
But thats up in the air due to the fact that I might be going out to Peoria for work the week before. If I go there I will not be home till Friday and I will miss the fishing trip so I'll be home to come to the meet on Sunday. If I dont go to Peoria for work then I'll be leaving Thursday night for out fishing trip.
So I'm up in the air once again... as usual:(
Bow94z 09-25-2006, 01:06 PM So what time do we wanna meet?
97TransAm 09-25-2006, 02:14 PM I have the pavillion for the whole day.
But I'm thinking of doing this thing from noon to 4.
Bow94z 10-03-2006, 12:23 AM up up and away!
97TransAm 10-03-2006, 09:02 AM Yep, only twelve (12) days.... Gawd I hope the weather will be in our favor.
'99 SS 10-03-2006, 09:31 AM Ron, long range outlook on Accuweather..."partly cloudy". (fingers crossed) :)
Bow94z 10-03-2006, 11:40 AM Yep, only twelve (12) days.... Gawd I hope the weather will be in our favor.
Ron, long range outlook on Accuweather..."partly cloudy". (fingers crossed) :)
Can both of you stop talking about weather you jinx us everytime:lol:
Projectz28 10-03-2006, 07:31 PM Looks like our fishing trip is off and my class at Caterpillar is also canceled. I might actually be able to make it!!! 'll bring the paper products Ron... and maybe some pics of the car and the piles of parts;)
87BlackZ 10-03-2006, 07:59 PM I will try and attend...trying to finish upgrading my suspension though...
Red1992V6Rs 10-04-2006, 01:19 PM NO! I'd like to come but I'm stuck at college and I start a job on the 14th so I don't think I can make it. Do you guys usually have gatherings once in a while?
Jeff H 10-04-2006, 07:41 PM Hopefully it's nice and my car is still together and I'll try to make it.
97TransAm 10-06-2006, 06:19 PM ...and the piles of parts;)
I'll bring some bucks...
Also the spring height measuring thingy. :)
97TransAm 10-07-2006, 09:52 AM Red1992V6Rs; there is no rhyme or reason to us "gathering'. Just when someone goes out on a limb and makes a post and then what happens, happens. :)
This will be happening next week (Oct 15th, Sunday Sunday....) for those that are still interested. While I have the pavillion for the whole day, I'm thinking of the major hangout time to be noon to 4pm. All I'm bringing is a small bag of charcoal, lighter fluid, hot dogs, rolls, chips, soda, plates and condiments. That's all I'm bringing.
Now my Mod-Father may show up and if he does, he will have some cool nascar paper products. Please acknowledge this when using those plates...
Ryan will be bring some Mustang friends. He asked so I have granted him permission.
Which reminds me, because of my allergies to high pitch engine noises, I AM excluding the high performance lawn mowers, and because this is a public park, AND becuase there is no beer allowed, we will not be playing who can piss over the Honduh top fuel spoiler game. Sorry.
Post if you are attending so I can get enough dogs and what soda preference. (Coke, Coke, or Coke.)
Thanks,
ron (and Carol)

Drive 2 days to get to Talladega, up @ 5AM Sunday, deal with huge crowds/traffic, deal with a "Gordon bit@h" in the section next to me rooting at Jrs. flat tire, then see him almost win it until one of the "Hendrick bit@hes" decides to wreck the leaders for the win, then great ol' NASCAR  and their "who's in front when the caution light comes on" and giving the win to that little a-hole, THEN, get in the car, and....well, YOU KNOW THE REST!

Renting a pavilion in a park on a nice day... $60
Purchasing enough hot dogs, rolls, chips and soda for everyone... another $60
Having everyone cramming to see a football game inside an F-body... priceless.
Ed, I ain't talking about last weeks race either. Suffice to say, my daughter who was also upset with the outcome, learned how to utter curse words in complete paragraphs....
squints88 10-12-2006, 03:22 PM bring travis...
haaa i should, he won't drive though because the trans am needs brakes. They have sooo many cars over there and they don't drive any of them, this one will end up just like the rest im sure...

That freakin sucks man. Junior so should of won that race, that was BS. However with that happening, then Burton's flat tire, it gave my guy Denny Hamlin a better chance :) He was involved in not the one, but both wrecks, yet still salvaged something decent.
97TransAm 10-13-2006, 02:41 PM What time is it at? 12-4pm I think I saw posted.

Excellent, that gives Ryan 3 hours to detail my car before the show. Payback for those photos buddy :) Those $59.99 photos, plus add on my copyright usage which is $39.99 per photo. So you can detail the car and I'll call it even. :D
97TransAm 10-14-2006, 09:22 AM Contrary to comical disbelief, there is no snow forecast for Peace Valley Park.
Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.
Maybe someone should bring a 55gal drum along with wood debris...
Jeff H 10-14-2006, 11:26 AM Hmmm, with this cooler weather I might have to get up earlier and start the car. Without a choke it takes a little longer for it to warm up enough to idle by itself. I think I'll be able to make it unless the car decides it doesn't want to play nice.
And Ron, make sure you have your car Zaino'd up really good. There's some kid on njfboa that thinks he's a detailing expert and claims that Zaino is crap.
greatsave9 10-14-2006, 01:00 PM Ron, will you also be supplying pens and sticky nametags so we can write our UserNames on it and our real names underneath in parenthesis.
Projectz28 10-14-2006, 04:05 PM ok, here is what I am going to bring.
1 me
1 bag of paper products (plates, cups, ect...)
1 cordless Dewalt radio for the Eagles game
1 not washed Yukon
1 slightly used Eagles jersey (can be found on the 1 me)
1 camers with a few pics of the Project
if I think of anything else I'll report back;)
97TransAm 10-14-2006, 06:23 PM Well, I don't do detailing too well, but I will make sure I stay at a Holiday Day Inn Express.... Jeff, is this guys car clean underneath? Mine is.
Andrew... good suggestion, but alas my friend, no, I will not be bringing the "Hi my name is..." tags. I can't think of everything. I'm old.
Mod-father... that's funny. Hey I realized that you haven't heard the 97TA since you did the cam install. I'll toss you the keys...
I can't wait... :)

Jeff H 10-15-2006, 05:24 PM Great turnout and some really nice weather. My clutch is really driving me crazy with the chatter so it's time to get a new clutch. I think it was the clutch that makes the rear hop so bad when trying to park.

Wow! what a nice turnout of vehicles! :D

Sweet nice job. Hard to make up a video with not much action from the day. Lucky we got the burnouts in there.
97TransAm 10-16-2006, 09:07 AM Thanks for putting a big smile on my face this morning, the video is killer.

Red1992V6Rs 10-16-2006, 04:36 PM HOLY ****! All those Corvettes that went through there were part of the Corvette Club of Delaware Valley. My dad runs this cruise called the Hot Dog run where they cruise up to the Allentown/Easton/Wind Gap area through backroads and end up at hot dog stands for lunch/dinner. He has been doing that some some 20 years. The most cars corvettes he had in a row was 91 at one time. That was something to see. My parents were in the 1st corvette, the red 1975 convertible. Maybe next year we can join in on the cruise. He doesn't just limit it to Corvettes. Plus my dad's not just a vette guy. He has a 68 427 vette, the 75 vert., an 88 iroc vert, and a 89 350 iroc.
I really wish I could have made it to the Fling. Stupid job at college. I'll def. be in next time.

greatsave9 10-17-2006, 12:27 AM I uploaded some LARGE files. About 1-2MB each almost at ridicioulious resolution. Most of them are the fisheye cropped down. Be sure to click "View Full Size" before ya save them. I only did a select few.
http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b157/AndrewAnd9/10_15_06_FbodyMeet/Large/?start=all
For example, view a full size fisheye pic of the nearly the whole place. I didnt do 360 or 180 photos unforunately.

97TransAm 10-17-2006, 10:34 AM Hey, how much for the Smokey Burnout (http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b157/AndrewAnd9/10_15_06_FbodyMeet/Large/?action=view¤t=DSC_4214.jpg&refPage=all&imgAnch=imgAnch30)? I think I need that one on my office wall. Like at least 14 x 11. Do you do tattoo's? Maybe I'll get to Miami Ink and get my back done like that... okay, maybe not.
www.contemporarycorvette.com (http://www.contemporarycorvette.com/) in Bristol supposely has lots of F-bodies that he is parting out. He wanted to sell me a set of WS6 chrome wheels and a ram air hood for the 97TA earlier Sunday morning before everyone showed for the Fling. He wouldn't understand I like my car the way it is....

Thx Ron, did some searchin on the boards, I got it from AutoZone online and itll be here in couple days.
Also I declined the job, they lowballed me pretty bad. I can make the money they offered locally easy, so I dont have to waste time commuting.
