hey everyone,

i'm looking to get back in the game, i'm sick and tired of driving big POS cars/suv that can't get out of their own way. i want another f-body but i'm pretty sure i want to stay away from the lt1, if for no other reason than the optispark and i like the styling of the ls1 cars better. I would buy another 3rd gen if it was in good shape, I'm all set with buying another money pit like the last one.

so how much am i looking at for a decent ls1? i would prefer an M6 but i'll deal with an automatic if need be. i'm not shopping quite yet, just trying to figure out what my options are and how much i'm gonna need to save up/take out a loan for.

you can get a good one from 6-8k. theyre more expensive up here than in the south though. if you dont mind traveling go south for a deal

heyyy im from reading haha but if your looking for a good ls1 with low mileage typically your gunna have to pay 8k plus probably, i got my 98 TA for 9k with 36,XXX miles on it its got 52k on it now. Was a good find guy took great care of it and havnt had a problem with it yet just look around on autotrader ect youll find a deal somewhere out there. Took me a good year to find the one i wanted.

thanks for the info guys

i know its going to take a while to find one that i will be happy with. my past few vehicles have been purchased out of necessity, rather than actually buying what i want. I'm not looking for a car that is someone else's problem that they are trying to unload, so i plan on going through each car with a fine tooth comb and nitpick until I am happy.
